Celebrating Sunflowers Step-by-Step

As soon as I laid eyes on the new 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, I knew the products in the Flowers for Every Season Suite (AC p. 10-13) would be popular.  And just as I suspected, the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is one of my top three favorite bundles in the Catalog, and my customers have been loving it too!

The possibilities are endless with the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.  You can stamp and die cut the sunflowers and leaves.  You can also stamp the large sunflower and die cut it, and then layer on the detailed die cut of the large sunflower over the stamped/die cut image.  I could go on.

Check out the beautiful Celebrate Sunflower cards and gift box below.  They show off just how versatile the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is.

For the first card (upper left corner), stamp the sunflower in Bumblebee ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink, then layer the die cuts to create lovely depth and dimension.  Sprinkle a few 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots for a little extra "pop."  Then stamp the sentiment in Magenta Madness, and you have a happy card in minutes!

For the second card (lower center), it's stepped-up with more stamping.  By sponging Cinnamon Cider and Old Olive ink on the images, it gives them a bit more dimension.  Blend the colors on the cardstock with one of our new Water Painters for a nice, even look.

For the third project (Mini Paper Pumpkin Box), the fanciest stepped-up project, the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box was spritzed with water and Just Jade ink.  Next, the box was embellished with lots of fun layers and floral details, including some cheerful sunflowers.  It was finished off with a cute baker's twine bow made using the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

These projects are a celebration of sunflowers, don't you agree?  Want more sunflower inspiration?  You'll find it HERE.

New! Stampin' Seal & Seal+ Adhesives

Have you heard?  We have new adhesives!

We now have Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Seal+.

Stampin' Seal replaces SNAIL, and Stampin' Seal+ replaces Fast Fuse (it retired about 2 years ago).

Stampin' Seal provides an instant bond but gives you a few seconds to move things around, if needed.  It's permanent, holds cardstock and ribbon, and there are 16.4 yards of adhesive.  I love it!

Stampin' Seal+ also provides an instant bond and is great for heavier layers and 3D projects.  It's also permanent, and there are 16.4 yards of adhesive.  I love this one too!

Why I love them:

1. They both provide such a strong bond.  Nothing is going to move once you put it in place.
2.  They're both refillable, and that's good for the environment.
 3.  They both have 16.4 yards of adhesive, which will go a long way before they'll need to be refilled.

I highly recommend you giving them both a try and letting me know what you think.

Check out the video below to see them in action.

Craft Room Makeover in Progress

I hope you have a craft space that you love.  I sure love mine!

But since the shelter in place order, I've been working from home and my craft room is serving as my full-time office.  The more time I spend in there, the more I notice that some things just weren't serving me anymore.

For example, I had all of my 8-1/2" x 11" Stampin' Up! cardstock in two bins on the floor, and I just wasn't crazy about all of the floor space they were taking up.  So...I decided it was high time to order some Paper Holders from Stamp-n-Storage!

I had to do a BIG purge to make room for them.  I boxed and bagged up things I hadn't touched in years--paper, ink pads, stickers, and lots more--and took it all to my son's former preschool.  Boy, were they grateful!

After freeing up four spaces in my IKEA Expedit (similar to their newer Kallax line), it was high time to bite the bullet.

I had a hard time making up my mind.  Did I want 8-1/2" x 11" or 12" x 12" paper holders?  Since 12" x 12" paper holders can hold both paper sizes, that's what I went with.  So I purchased four 12" x 12" IKEA 15-slot Paper Holders.

I couldn't wait for them to arrive, and they could not be more perfect!  I have filled them with all of that beautiful paper.  Since I'm not done with the full makeover yet, I'll do the big reveal as soon as it's all done.

I need some other storage items to make the makeover complete.  My order from the Container Store is taking FOREVER, but I'm sure all will be forgiven once it arrives!

Stay tuned!  It will be worth the wait...at least I hope so!
