What's Hot Wednesdays: Bravo Stamp Set

Hi Crafty Friends!  I thought that I would kick it old school today and bring back What's Hot Wednesdays for a limited time!  In case you don't know, What's Hot Wednesdays are, it's where I share cards and crafts featuring the hottest crafting products and/or techniques.  You will find all of my previous WHW shares under "Projects by Category" on the right sidebar.

For today's What's Hot Wednesday's share, it's all about the new Bravo Stamp Set!  I have had so much fun playing with this stamp set, and I want to treat you to a fun card I made using it.

This Wow Card features the Bravo, Dictionary and Work of Art stamp sets, Large Scallop Edgelits Die and Gold Sequin Trim.

My design inspiration for this card came from one I saw on Pinterest, but I gussied it up with that Gold Sequin Trim "tassel."  That tassel design detail was one I borrowed from my Work of Art Mother's Day Card I shared with you all back in May.

Okay, okay, I have a little confession to make.  You may have noticed that I used patterned Old Olive Cardstock that Stampin' Up! offered in the 2013 Holiday Catalog for my card base.  The reason for that is I still have so much of it, so I'll be using it until it's all gone.  I hope you don't mind :)

I just love the colors in this card!  They are so striking!  And I hope that you like it too.

You will find all of the supplies I used pictured and listed below.  Until next time, have a great day and happy crafting!

What's Hot Wednesdays: Double Die Cutting

Hey Folks!  It's Wednesday, another What's Hot Wednesday, and I can't wait to share the latest craze!  Maybe you've spotted it, maybe you haven't, but I'm calling it Double Die Cutting.

Double Die Cutting is when you take two dies of different shapes and/or sizes, and you create a "window" in the larger die cut shape.  Make sense?!

The idea for this You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray Card came to me so fast, it was like being struck by lightening!  I saw the sentiment in a window, blue skies turning brighter, and wallah…this card came to life!

This card features our gorgeous new Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, Simple Stems Stamp Set, and See Ya Later Stamp Set (coming soon with Sale-A-Bration).  I guess you can say I really like that "You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Gray" stamp in the See Ya Later Stamp Set because I also used it on yesterday's card.

The best way to Double Die Cut is to use our Magnetic Platform.  It will hold your dies in place exactly where you put them, allowing for perfect cuts every time.  I never die cut without it!  (Although my square framelits were made by another company, I bought them years ago, and they do the same job as our Square Framelits Dies.)

I hope that you feel inspired to do some Double Die Cutting of your own.  It's fun, fast and easy!  If you need any of the supplies I used, you will find them listed below.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!

What's Hot Wednesdays: Gold!

Hi Friends!  It's that time again…time for another What's Hot Wednesday's share!  And what's hot do you ask?  GOLD!

Stampin' Up! didn't hold back on the sparkle in our current catalog.  Gold is everywhere…with ribbon, on vellum, as foil sheets, in washi tape, on clothespins and on twine!  I'm a fan of it all!

This Make a Wish Card was a labor of love.  I started out with some inspiration from Pinterest, and the rest is all me!

I simply adore both our new Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and Gold Foil Sheets!  The foil sheets can be punched and die cut…love that!

I LOVE this card, and I hope that you like it too!  Please share your thoughts with me below.

Listed below are all of the products I used to create this beauty.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Until next time, happy crafting!
