Celebrate Real Nice...A Masculine Version

Hi Crafty Friends!  As promised, I'm back with a masculine version of the Celebrate Real Nice Card I shared with you all on Monday.

I must admit that it can be a real challenge sometimes to come up with masculine cards, but this patterned paper with the cute little party hats from the Birthday Bash Speciality Designer Series Paper fits the bill perfectly.

The weekend after my workshop, Julian and I had his friend's birthday party to attend, and I knew just what to make for his friend's card.  I had to make it quickly (story of my life lately), so please forgive the no-so-perfect stamping.

This card is just as cheery and bright as the original card, but one that a little boy could appreciate.

I love that I was able to use some of that new Tangelo Twist Thick Baker's Twine in the In Color Accessory Pack (a new FREE Sale-a-Bration item) on this card.  It added just the right pop of color and some texture.

I even stamped the inside with balloons and a sentiment.  And all I had to do was sign it, and we were on our merry way.

Another fun card, folks!  Don't you love this Birthday Bash Speciality Designer Series Paper?  I can't stop reaching for it.  Do you have some?  If not, you need some!

You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by next week to see what we made in my VERY FIRST stamping and technique class.  It's all about nifty gift giving ideas.  Until next time, happy crafting!

Glittered Greetings Remix & A TUTORIAL!

Hi Crafty Friends!  It's me again!  Today I'm here with some fab thank you and congratulations cards I made and sent to my customers earlier this month.

I ALWAYS send my hostesses and their guests thank you cards after an event and to those who place an order with me (online orders included).  I'm so blessed that they support my business, so it's the least bit I can do.  Besides, making cards is what I do, so there's no excuse.

When I was trying to figure out what to create, I had a "light bulb moment."  I wanted to revisit the adorable Paper Pumpkin Glittered Greetings Kit from March 2014.  Besides, I purchased five refill kits--yes, five of them!--so it was time to put them to work.  I wanted to jazz the cards up a bit and really make them "pop."  So I decided to give the wooden sentiments some color!

I decided on the same color scheme as my Celebrate Real Nice Card--Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.  Since the card bases were all ready to go, I stamped the zigzags in Crushed Curry and punched out some Silver Glimmer dots using the 1/4" Circle Handheld Punch.

THE STEPS (to color the wooden sentiments) ::
  1. Fill a Stampin' Spritzer nearly to the top with 70% strength (not 90%) rubbing alcohol and approximately 10-15 drops of Melon Mambo Ink Refill, or until you get the desired shade of pink you want.
  2. Lay the wooden sentiments onto some paper towels, and spray them liberally until they are sufficiently covered.  (Color will bleed through the paper towels, so be sure you protect the surface below with more than paper towels, if needed.)
  3. Let them sit for approximately 5-7 minutes, allowing them to soak up the color.
  4. When they look nearly dry, use another paper towel to dab off any excess color.
  5. Let them sit for another 5 minutes or so to dry, and then, wallah!, they are ready to adhere to your project.

These cards were so easy to make.  And I love that I can "remix" them with different colors, especially the wooden sentiments.

It just so happens that Stampin' Up! released the full kit for purchase this week.  Talk about a co-INK-ee-dink!  BUT, you must be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber in order to purchase the full kit or refill kit (no stamps or ink pads included).

Don't fret if you are not already a subscriber...you can become one TODAY!  Just click HERE to become a subscriber.  Easy, breezy, beautiful!  Or, you could try Paper Pumpkin with a pre-paid subscription for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months!

Like I've said before, I could not be happier with my Paper Pumpkin subscription.  It truly brings me joy each month, and my customers tell me all the time how much they are loving their subscriptions too.  And if you don't love it, you can always cancel it or put it on hold.  Really!

You will find all of the products I used to create these cards below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Until next time, happy crafting!

Amazingly Amazing

Hi Crafty Friends!  I'm back with more from my fabulous workshop a couple of weeks ago.  In addition to the Celebrate Real Nice Card we made, we also made this Amazingly Amazing Card.

Using the beautiful Painted Petals Stamp Set and some Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper, this card came together nicely.

I took my design inspiration from Amy Koenders of Stamp with Amy K.  The minute I saw her card, and I instantly pinned it to my Cards :: All Occasions Pinterest Board.  So when I made mine, I changed some things but not much.

I love the Painted Petals Stamp Set.  As you can probably tell, I didn't aim for perfection with the placement of the flowers on top of the stems.  Because of the watercolor feel of the stamps, it's okay if everything isn't perfectly aligned.

I'm seriously addicted to stamping the inside of my cards now.  But who could resist with such great sentiments.  Don't you just love the sentiments in this stamp set?

My hostess and her guests loved this card, and I hope you like it too.  Thank you, Amy, for the inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by on Friday for a masculine version of the Celebrate Real Nice Card I shared earlier this week.  Until next time, happy crafting!

Last Week of Sale-a-Bration & LOTS More!

Hi Friends!  Where has the time gone?!  One minute we were kicking off Sale-a-Bration in January, and we'll soon be wrapping it up on March 31st.

I want to share with you several updates before it's all said and done.  I've been short on time, so please beg my pardon for the delay in relaying this information to you.

Blendabilities Discontinued
Stampin' Up! has experienced quality issues with the Blendabilities product line.  Due to accelerated evaporation of the alcohol in the ink in a higher than average percentage of the markers, we have concluded that difficulties, dissatisfaction, and product returns will only become more widespread.

The manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a manner that we are certain would meet our high quality standards, so in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued.

I have contacted my customers who have purchased Blendabilities or earned them as free Sale-a-Bration items, but please know that you will no longer be able to add these items to future orders for purchase or earn them as free items during Sale-a-Bration.  However, Stampin' Up! has added some new items that we hope you like and want to earn for free.  Check them out below.

For those of you who already own Blendabilities and they are performing as intended, please continue to enjoy your markers!

MDS will be Discontinued
Major changes are underway at Stampin' Up!  We have recently reevaluated My Digital Studio, also known as MDS.  After much deliberation and careful consideration, we have made the decision to stop supporting this program.

Click HERE for a Q&A regarding the end of our MDS offering and printing services.

NEW! Just Kidding Stamp Set

This funny new stamp set is just what you need for laughs that will last.  It's so versatile, you'll find yourself using it over and over again.

I hope all of these changes do not put a damper on your day.  Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Celebrate Real Nice & My BEST Workshop Ever!

Hello, All!  Happy Monday!  I'm here to share one of my favorite cards that I've made this year!  This card is one of two I created for a workshop.  I needed something quick, fast and in a hurry because it was the night before my party, and I still hadn't figured out what we were going to make.

With little time to spare, I turned to my Sketches :: Cards Pinterest board and found this Fab Friday 49 sketch.  When I saw it, I knew exactly what I would create...a bright and cheery birthday card.

Using one of my favorite birthday stamp sets and designer series papers--Balloon Bash and Birthday Bash--and some of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors--Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist, and Melon Mambo--this Celebrate Real Nice Card was born.

I even used some of my prized Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim on this card.  You'd think that there was a shortage of this sequin trim the way I ration it out on my projects.  LOL!  But I was happy to share some with my beloved guests and friends.

I just love this card!

We even adorned the inside of the card with some of those adorable balloons from the stamp set.

This was the first card Linda had ever made!

Traci's beautiful card creation.

This workshop was my best ever--over $700 in sales!  I don't know if it was the projects, Sale-a-Bration, or something in the air that day, but everyone took advantage of getting a few things from the Sale-a-Bration brochure and flyer and nearly all ordered a pre-paid Paper Pumpkin subscription.

It was awesome because my hostess earned TONS of free stuff (which included $25 additional hostess dollars for workshops over $250) and two half-price items!  She had lots of fun picking out all of her new products.  I was so happy for her!

Well, that's all for today, folks.  You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by later this week to see the second card we created.  Until next time, happy crafting!

Scrapbook Expo 2015 in Pleasanton, CA

Hi Crafty Friends!  I've been so busy that I haven't had time to share with you the great time I had at Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, CA, two weekends ago.  It was held February 27-28, 2015, and it always includes the latest scrapbook and crafting supplies and techniques, shopping, cropping, make 'n takes, and classes.

When I asked my friends, Traci and Lemyrtle, if they wanted to come along, I made sure they knew that I only had one goal in mind--SHOPPING!  They were on board, so that's what we did.

Our friend Wendy was there cropping the weekend away, so she met up with us for a bit.

There were lots of people.

Lots of fun products.

And tons of inspiration.

I saw in the show brochure that there was a Stampin' Up! booth, so I made sure to stop by.  The exhibitors are fellow demonstrators, and they did an AMAZING job showcasing what Stampin' Up! is currently offering!

One of the demonstrators was Elizabeth Price of Seeing Ink Spots, but she was talking with someone when I stopped by, so I smiled and said "hi," snapped a few photos and was on my way.  I feel terrible that I didn't get to tell her how much I loved their booth.

Well, we had a fun day!  We each left with lots of fabulous stuff to play with and tons of inspiration to boot!  The Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton never disappoints, and I always look forward to it coming to town.  Can't wait for next year!

Oh...guess what I came home and found waiting for me?  Three boxes of Stampin' Up! goodness!  It was a very good day!

Are there any craft or scrapbook expos that come to a town near you?  Which ones are your favorites to attend?  I'd love to hear about them, so please leave me a comment below.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Until next time, happy crafting!
