Sending Some Snail Mail Love

I know you've heard me say it before about other stamp sets, bundles and suites, but when I first laid eyes on the Snail Mail Suite, I was smitten!  Who knew snails could be so cute?!

Even though I couldn't wait to play with it as soon as it arrived, I saved this adorable Snail Mail Suite of products to make a Valentine's card for my sweetie.

To make this Sending Some Snail Mail Love Card, I used almost the entire Snail Mail Bundle (MC, p. 54-55), a sentiment from the Always in My Heart Stamp Set, and a large heart from the Stitched Be Mine Dies (I love them!).

Because this is a Valentine's card, it was only fitting that I pull in the sentiment from the Always In My Heart Stamp Set (MC, p. 12).

Here's how to make this card:

1.  Die cut a large heart using the Stitched Be Mine Dies from Real Red cardstock and emboss it using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
2.  Die cut the large postage square from Basic White cardstock, the envelope from Bermuda Bay cardstock, and a small heart from Blushing Bride cardstock using the Snail Dies.
3.  Punch a postage stamp from Basic White cardstock using the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch and cut it in half.
4.  Die cut a snail from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper using the Snail Dies.
5.  Cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Snail Mail Designer Series Paper for your card front and a 13/16" x 4-1/4" strip of Blushing Bride cardstock.
6.  Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto the large die cut postage square near the top.
7.  Layer your card front onto a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock that is scored and folded in the center at 5-1/2".
8.  Adhere the strip of Blushing Bride cardstock across the center.  Tie on some Whisper White twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack over the Blushing Bride strip.
9.  Adhere the large square postage piece with the sentiment top right and the large embossed heart top left.
10.  Put the envelope together using Mini Glue Dots and adhere the heart in the front center of the envelope, also using Mini Glue Dots.  Adhere the half-cut punched postage stamp piece to the inside of the envelope.
11.  Finish off your card by adhering the snail to the left of the envelope using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Lastly, add on some red Resin Hearts to the sentiment piece, and you're done!

What a sweet Valentine's card this turned out to be!  The colors in the paper, those adorable snails, and pulling in sentiments from other stamp sets to say what you want to say have me head over heals for the Snail Mail Suite!

Always In My Heart Valentine

I don't know how it happened, but Valentine's Day totally snuck up on me this year.  Does this ever happen to you too?  Like, the date doesn't move on the calendar, but you still manage to forget it's fast approaching.

So, this weekend, I went right to work on this Always In My Heart Valentine Card, just in the knick of time for the big day.

For this card, I used the Always In My Heart Bundle, Love You Always Foil Sheets, and the beautiful True Love Designer Series Paper.  All of these products are part of the Love You Always (mega) Suite, and I love it!

Here's how to make this card:

1.  Die cut the large floral heart from a piece of Rococo Rose Foil Sheet using the Floral Heart Dies.
2.  Die cut five flowers from scraps of Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose cardstock using the Floral Heart Dies.
3.  Die cut leaves from scraps of Old Olive cardstock using the Floral Heart Dies.
4.  Die cut the banner from a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock using the Floral Heart Dies and stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
5.  Cut your card front from a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of paper from the True Love Designer Series Paper--I chose the B side that is white with black polka dots.
6.  Adhere the large floral heart top center of the white and polka dot piece of Designer Series Paper.
7.  Layer on the leaves and flowers on the lower left side of the large floral heart using Mini Glue Dots and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
8.  Score and secure the folded parts of the banner piece with a Mini Glue Dot.  Then layer on using Stampin' Dimensionals across the top center of the large floral heart.
9.  Layer your card front onto a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Rococo Rose cardstock that is scored and folded in the center at 5-1/2".

I just love this card!  It's so feminine and pretty!  It's like a big hug with a fold in the middle.

The Love You Always Suite is filled to the brim with so many good things!  Check it out below, and you'll find it here in my Online Store.  You can order the pieces you like, or you can use one item number (item #155977) to order it all!

Be Mine Bloomin' Heart & A VIDEO!

Stampin' Up! outdid themselves with the new selection of products in the NEW! Occasions Catalog!  I know I've said that about the last several catalogs, but every time they release a new catalog, they fill each one with fresh, current product offerings that I fall head over heals in love with.  And the Love Blossoms product suite is one of them (Occasions Catalog pp. 16-17)...that's for sure!

I absolutely could not wait to get my hands on the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die, so it was one of the first things I grabbed for when I sat down to create with my new products.

For this card, my goal was to make a card that exclaimed "simply elegant."  Using the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set, Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die, and Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack, I popped in lots of color with the background paper and added texture with the dies.

I loved adding in the two-tone stamped sentiment cut from the banner die in the Large Numbers Framelits Dies.  Don't sleep on this die set, folks...it's definitely going to be a big hit!

For the big finish, I added some Metal Rimmed Pearls to add a bit more texture and elegance.

I stamped the inside of my card as well, and have been making more of an effort to stamp the inside when crafting.  I love a stamp set that I can use on both the outside and inside of my card, and the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set offers tons of opportunities to do just that.

So, what do you think?  I hope you like this card and find some Valentine's Day card inspiration in my creation.

Before you go, be sure to check out the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die video that Stampin' Up! created.  Brandi gives you the tips you'll need to perfectly cut this intricate die every time.  Enjoy!
