Flashback Friday: All Dressed Up Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday, All!  Today's share is a birthday card, and it's is one of my favorites!  I made this card featuring an adorable dress made from the magnificent Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP. Such adorable paper!

This flashback actually features two retired patterned paper products from the 2013 Spring Catalog--the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP (for the dress) and the Print Poetry DSP Stack (the trim piece at the bottom of the card).

When the Dress Up Framelits Dies were introduced earlier this year, they were at the top of my Wish List, and I couldn't wait to play with them!  They reminded me of my days as a kid playing paper dolls.

I just love that little bit of polka dot paper that I used for the belt on the dress.  So lovely...so elegant.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try too.  There are so many Stampin' Up! patterned papers that will make some lovely dresses.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your weekend and have a great Labor Day!  Until next time, happy crafting!

Farewell Summer

Hello there!  It's so sad to see summer come to an end with September just right around the corner.  So for today's shares, I made two cards as a reminder of summer.

Using the I Am Me DSP, with its vibrant colors and travel patterns, the first card is 4"x 4" and is a sweet little thank you card.  I saw a card very similar on Pinterest and had to make one of my own!

The second card also features the I Am Me DSP but also includes one of my favorite stamp sets--Cycle Celebration. You've seen the bike here before...it's one of my favorites with those whimsical tires.

This card sends a sweet hello and is perfect for anyone who enjoys the sunshine.

I hope that you like these cards and feel inspired to do something crafty today.  Until next time, happy crafting!

A CASE Study: Shelli's Inspiration

Hello and welcome!  Yes, you are in the right place.  No, you did not happen upon So Shelli's blog even though your eyes may think that you have.  In case you don't know who I'm talking about, I'm talking about Shelli Gardner--Stampin' Up!'s co-founder and CEO.  She is a true artist, and I love checking out her blog periodically to see what she's come up with.

My share today is a card that looks very similar to one that Shelli did a few weeks ago because I could NOT resist CASEing her design almost to the letter!  Click here to see the original.  Although mine is not identical (it isn't a gate-fold), it's pretty close.

I just LOVE that new Gift Bow Bigz L Die!  It's a wonderful addition to our Stampin' Up! family of products, and I SO enjoy playing with it!  This card was simple to make and took about 10 minutes tops.  I fussed more with the direction of the paper for cutting the bow more than anything else.

I LOVE the boldness of the colors!  Interesting color combo, right?  I like the contrast that the Chocolate Chip chevron paper (from the Neutrals Color Collection DSP Stack) provides to the bright colors in the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP

And don't you love that little pocket on the inside holding the sentiment on a cute little tag?  So, how did I do with the CASE Study?  (You'll have to forgive me because I just wrapped up my MBA a few months ago, and so "case study" is well embedded in my vocabulary.  LOL!)

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!
