My Occasions Catalog & Sale-A-Bration Kickoff

On Saturday, January 16th, I held my annual Occasions Catalog & Sale-A-Bration Kickoff.  Four of my crafty friends and I got together in my Craft Room to make three amazing cards, and to "ooh" and "aah" over the new 2016 Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration products.

Cheryl showing us her beautiful Be Mine Bloomin' Heart Card.

Beckie showing us her gorgeous Be Mine Bloomin' Heart Card.

Beckie putting the finishing touches on her For You Birthday Bouquet Card.

The Kickoff is also an opportunity for me to spoil them with new stuff!  How do you ask?  Well, in their goodie bags, they received $25 in Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog goodies!  The products included:
  • 12 sheets (1 of each design) from the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack
  • It's My Party Baker's Twine Combo Pack
  • It's My Party Designer Washi Tape
  • It's My Party Enamel Dots

I put the twine, washi tape and enamel dots in our Gusseted Cellophane Bags, and made cute tags and bag toppers using the Party with Cake Stamp Set, It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack, and Ornate Tag Topper Punch.  The bag toppers are 4" x 4", scored down the center and were adhered onto the bags with a glue runner similar to Fast Fuse.  I put the paper in Stampin' Up! 12" x 12" Craft Keepers (only available to Stampin' Up! demonstrators for purchase).

The contents of the goodie bags is always a surprise, and this selection of goodies seemed to make their day!  They also got to use those goodies to make our last card, Let's Celebrate...with Cake Card.

The three cards we made have all been featured here on my blog recently.  Just click on the links below each picture to be taken to those posts for more details...and more pictures from the Kickoff too.

We had a BLAST!  And the fun will continue in February and March.  I can't wait and neither can they.

If you missed my fun Occasions Catalog & Sale-A-Bration Kickoff and want a "goodie bag" of your own as well as your pick of some fabulous FREE Sale-A-Bration products, you will find all of the Stampin' Up! products used to create the goodie bags below (minus the Craft Keepers and heart clothespins...I got those at Target in the Dollar Spot section).  AND, you'll get all 48 sheets in the paper stack, not just 12 sheets!

Order what you need by placing your order in my Online Store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.

NEW! Catalog Kickoff & Online Ordering Update

Last week was quite possibly one of the busiest weeks I've had all year.  Everyday, I had at least 10 items on my to do list to tackle and 2-3 places to be.  There was no rest for the weary, I tell you!  Anyway, I hope that you had a good week.

Over the weekend, I held my SOLD OUT Stampin' Up! Retirement Party and NEW! Catalog Kickoff, and we had a blast!  We celebrated the retirement of the 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and 2015 Occasions Catalog and welcomed in the NEW! 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.

We did so by making three cards--each card featuring products from each catalog.

  • The first card features the Hello Darling Stamp Set from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog...a stamp set that I will miss terribly.
  • The second features the Big on You Stamp Set from the 2015 Occasions Catalog...another fave.
  • The last one features the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set, Tree Builder Punch and Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  Such a fun new addition!

Hello Darling Card

This card is my own design.  I used Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock for the card base and stamped the flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Typeset Designer Series Specialty Paper (it's sticking around for another year...YAY!).

The sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and die cut using the Deco Collection Framelits.  The die cut sentiment is adhered onto a larger piece of Basic Black die cut cardstock.  I finished it off with some gold sequin from our Gold Sequin Trim.

So Kind of You Card

For this card, I CASE'd myself using my It's Your Day Card as my muse.  I used my favorite bright colors--Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo--as well as the Big on You, Crazy about You and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets.

We stamped the three flowers, punched them with the Flower Medallion Punch, curled the ends a bit with our bone folders, and layered them.  I love the simplicity of this design and the big impact of the bright colors.

Sprinkles of Life Card

For this last card, I borrowed the design from one I saw on Pinterest.  I was in quite a pinch time-wise, so I had to come up with something quick.

I used two new In Colors in the design--Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe--and the Sprinkles of Life Stamp SetTree Builder Punch and Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  This card was so fun to make, and the possibilities are endless with this new stamp set and coordinating punch!

We had a new friend join us--Vivian.  It turns out that we're practically neighbors.

Wendy, Amanda, and Linda doing the same.

Traci with her beautiful card, and Eleanor and Lemyrtle still stamping away.

Wendy with her gorgeous creation.

Wendy "going off the grid" with her Sprinkles of Life Card design.

My crafty friends liked the cards we made, but they weren't fooling me...they were really here for the new catalog.  Can you blame them?!  We had a great time, and now they can't wait to get their hands on the new catalog products!

Online Ordering from the New Catalog

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY, and I, like thousands of my fellow demonstrators and most of my customers, can't wait to get our hands on these fabulous new products!  So, have you made your Wish List and checked it twice?  Most importantly, did you know that you can order from ALL THREE of our Catalogs on June 2nd?!  Yep!  But that's the last day to do so.

Also, our current host program will change to Stampin' Rewards (find the chart at the bottom of page 178 in the new catalog), and we'll move to even-dollar pricing on June 3rd.  So, if you have an order of $150 or more, be sure to place your order on June 2nd while the current host program is still available.  You've been warned!

If you need a catalog, click HERE for all of the details to get one.  Click HERE to place your order in my online store anytime!

PLEASE NOTE:  Online ordering will be OFFLINE June 2nd and 3rd from 12 am MT to 2 am MT, and it will likely be slow due to volume traffic the first day or two.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!

Celebrate Real Nice & My BEST Workshop Ever!

Hello, All!  Happy Monday!  I'm here to share one of my favorite cards that I've made this year!  This card is one of two I created for a workshop.  I needed something quick, fast and in a hurry because it was the night before my party, and I still hadn't figured out what we were going to make.

With little time to spare, I turned to my Sketches :: Cards Pinterest board and found this Fab Friday 49 sketch.  When I saw it, I knew exactly what I would create...a bright and cheery birthday card.

Using one of my favorite birthday stamp sets and designer series papers--Balloon Bash and Birthday Bash--and some of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors--Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist, and Melon Mambo--this Celebrate Real Nice Card was born.

I even used some of my prized Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim on this card.  You'd think that there was a shortage of this sequin trim the way I ration it out on my projects.  LOL!  But I was happy to share some with my beloved guests and friends.

I just love this card!

We even adorned the inside of the card with some of those adorable balloons from the stamp set.

This was the first card Linda had ever made!

Traci's beautiful card creation.

This workshop was my best ever--over $700 in sales!  I don't know if it was the projects, Sale-a-Bration, or something in the air that day, but everyone took advantage of getting a few things from the Sale-a-Bration brochure and flyer and nearly all ordered a pre-paid Paper Pumpkin subscription.

It was awesome because my hostess earned TONS of free stuff (which included $25 additional hostess dollars for workshops over $250) and two half-price items!  She had lots of fun picking out all of her new products.  I was so happy for her!

Well, that's all for today, folks.  You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by later this week to see the second card we created.  Until next time, happy crafting!

Lisa's Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Premier

Hello Crafty Friends!  I hope that you had a nice weekend.  Mine was great (considering it was a 3-day weekend!), but it was busy.  I got a lot of crafting in, hung out with my family, and Julian and I finally started tackling his Lego City Fire Station that he got for Christmas.  We're still not finished with it, but that's another story for another day!

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make good on my promise last week about sharing pictures and details from my Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Premier, but I had a lot going on last week.  Please beg my pardon!

My display table.

Anyway, my event was held on Saturday, January 10th, and it was similar to my Customer Appreciation Event that I held last year.

Regardless of the name, this event is something I like to do for my best customers, so they can take home some fun make 'n takes with the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration products.  I love sharing the new stuff with them!

Lots of Stampin' Up! tools and everyday essentials.

Let's get crafty at the craft table!

We made two cards--one for Valentine's Day and one everyday occasion card.  They really liked both.

My IKEA storage solution--1 Expedit shelving unit sandwiched in between 2 PAX Wardrobes designed with shelves and drawers that fit a great deal of crafting supplies!

Lemyrtle with her giftie from me in hand.  All of the ladies received one at the end of the event.

Cheryl and Traci deciding what to order.

Cheryl and Traci checking out the display table.

We had a blast, and I hope you enjoyed checking out my Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Premier as well as seeing parts of my Craft Room (AKA our converted 2-car garage).  I'll be sure to show off the projects we made in an upcoming blog post because they deserve a post of their own!  Hate to make you wait, but it will be worth it...I promise!

Have a wonderful day, and, until next time, happy crafting!
