What better way to celebrate than with this fun Soho Subway Yippee Card?!  Using the Yippee-Skippee and Secret Garden stamp setsSoho Subway Designer Series Paper, and a few Subtles Candy Dots, this card came together rather quickly.

Soho Subway Birthday & Tutorial

Hi All!  I hope that your week is wrapping up nicely.  I'm here today to share with you my last bit of fun with Soho Subway Designer Series Paper (it's retiring on June 1st).

I love this paper because, depending on how you use it, it can make either masculine or feminine cards and projects.  This Soho Subway Birthday Card is definitely more masculine.

Using the Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set, Soho Subway Designer Series Paper and some Neutrals Candy Dots, this card came together in minutes.

The Steps:
  1. Cut three (3) 1-1/2" squares and one (1) 2" square from varying patterns of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper and round the opposite corner of each with the Project Life Corner Rounder.
  2. Cut a 4" square piece of coordinating Soho Subway Designer Series Paper and rough the edges with Stampin' Distress Tool.
  3. Cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of coordinating Soho Subway Designer Series Paper as your card front and rough the edges with Stampin' Distress Tool.
  4. Stamp sentiment on 1" x 3-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and create banner ends using the Hexagon Punch.
  5. Assemble card by adhering Soho Subway Designer Series Paper card front onto Crumb Cake card stock card base.  Then add 4" square piece and the four (4) squares with rounded edges.
  6. Add sentiment to bottom of card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Finish off with two Neutrals Candy Dots.

I really love this card and hope that you like it too!  If you still want to get your hands on some of this fun Soho Subway Designer Series Paper, there's still some left last I checked, and it's 50% off--only $5.48 (originally $10.95)!

You will find all of the available supplies I used listed and pictured below.  Please note that the retiring products are available while supplies last.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store, or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Hello There

Hi Crafty Friends!  As promised, I'm back with more to share from our FUN Luv 2 Stamp Meeting this past Saturday.  Like I mentioned on Monday, in addition to new product make 'n takes and product demonstrations, we also swap cards that we each make with the new products.

With the swap, 22 demonstrators, myself included, all made 22 of the same exact card to swap with one another.  We all vote on our three favorites and earn prizes based on whose cards came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

It's always exciting to see what we all come up with!  I must confess though that it's a little nerve-racking at first, but once we start swapping, all my nerves go out of the window.  I just want my fellow demonstrators to like what I make, regardless if I win a prize or not.

For my swap, I was determined to use one of the NEW! Hostess-only stamp sets.  I fell head over heals for this one called Hello There.  I love the font!  However, I did struggle to use it at first.  The reason is because I love die cutting, but I was determined to focus on stamping and punching for my swap card for a change.

For this card, I used the Hello There (hostess-exclusive), Work of Art, and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets, and the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Set.  I tried several different color combinations, but this is the one that spoke the loudest to me, even if the colors are a bit on the softer side.

I hope you like it.  You will find all of the available supplies I used listed and pictured below (new products will be available for order June 2).  Order what you need by going to my Online Store, or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Before I go, I have to share Cindee's adorable make 'n take from Saturday.  In addition to my Bravo Way to Go Card that I shared with you on Monday, we also made this adorable Thank You Hamburger Box.  The Hamburger Box die makes this super cute box that is perfect for giving small gifts.  There's also a Fry Box to match!  Both will be available for order on June 2nd.  I can't wait!

Until next time, have a great weekend and happy crafting!

Happy Birthday Julian!

Hi Crafty Friends!  Today is a VERY special day!  BIG birthday wishes are in order for my son, Julian.  Today is his 6th birthday!

I kid you not when I say it feels like he was born about two weeks ago, but it's been six fabulous years, and I am forever grateful that God chose me to be Julian's mother!!!

I'm tearing up as I write this, but I just wanted to share with you all of the joy and love Julian has brought into our lives.  He is a bundle of energy, and is an incredibly smart, loving and thoughtful young man.  We want the world for him, and I'm sure that he'll make it a better place because of his big heart.

Don't get me wrong, everyday isn't a cakewalk.  But life is a new adventure every single day!

Being my sweet angel.  Age 1.

He loves being in water, especially if it's in the backyard blowup pool.  Age 3.

He's such a ham!  Age 4.

My budding Lego engineer who was working alongside me in my studio a couple of weeks ago.  Age 5.

Today, I look forward to celebrating with him and his classmates with cake and punch at the end of the school day.  Then, we're off to Toys "R" Us for a surprise shopping spree with my dad.

It was all my dad's idea.  He said that since he never got to have that experience as a child, he would like to treat his grandchild to such fun.  What a great dad and grandfather my dad is!

I can't wait to see Julian's face when my dad shows up there!  I wonder what he'll pick.  My dad said that he can get several toys, so this is exciting not only for Julian but for me too!  I love seeing him happy.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I'll be back tomorrow with more craftiness.  Until next time, have a great day and happy crafting!
