Stampin' Up! Convention 2015 -- Wrap-up

I don't know why writing this post was so difficult, but it was.  I think it's because there is no easy, clean way to put Convention all in a nutshell for you.  It's one of those "you have to see it to believe it" kind of things.  It's awesome, amazing, and a bit overwhelming, but in the best possible way, and I mean EVERY.WORD.OF.IT!

So, before I wrap-up Inspire.Create.Share 2015, let me start by saying that I wish I had more time to share the 300+ pictures I took.  But there's just not enough time for me to do so.  However, I'll be sure to share more of the amazing swaps I received and things I learned in the days and weeks to come, and I hope that's okay with you.  So, here goes nothing.

This is how things wrapped up at Inspire.Create.Share 2015.

My swag bag

As promised the other day, here is what we received in the gray felt convention bag--an Inspire.Create.Share 2015 journal, Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, and Your Presents Stamp Set (it's a new stamp set in the new Holiday Catalog).

Beautiful photo-op & Stampin' Up! display

These beautiful window displays were found in a couple of places around the Convention Center, and they presented great taking photo opportunities.  JoAnne and I finally got our picture taken in one on Day 2.

My Prize Patrol winnings!

Inside of everyone's convention bag, we all received a wristband in a Stampin' Up! color.  In between presentations, Prize Patrol happens where people with the colored wristband that is announced receive a special prize.  My prize was the To You & Yours Too Stamp Set and some Silver Glimmer Paper.  Wahoo!

All of my Stampin' Up! prizes

In addition to our Prize Patrol winnings, every attendee also got the new Archival Basic Black stamp pad and the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.

Swap-nation!

I received well over 150 swaps...here are some of them.

Cindee's Stampin' Up! Convention Presentation

Weeks before Convention, my friend Cindee got a call from Stampin' Up! asking if she would share some tips on how to run a successful business with Stampin' Up!  Of course she said yes!

We, many of her Luv 2 Stamp team members, were in the front row to cheer her on, and her presentation was amazing.  YAY, Cindee!

A little holiday make 'n take.

This was the make 'n take we all got to make at the conclusion of Cindee's presentation.  It's so cute, and the Home for Christmas product suite is at the tip top of my must-have list!

The 2015 Autumn/Winter Holiday Catalog!

And here she is!  Isn't she a beauty?!

An exclusive bag for Convention attendees is great, winning stuff is superb, hanging out with fellow demonstrators and friends is fun, but being able to get our hands on that catalog and see and touch the new products in it...why, that's priceless!  Every demonstrator goes to the Stampin' Up! Convention for different reasons, but mine was to get my hands on one thing...the new Holiday Catalog!  There, I said it.

I had a MAGNIFICENT time at the Stampin' Up! Convention, and I can't wait to go again next year!  I am absolutely overflowing with enthusiasm and excitement, and I hope you are ready for a new experience here at Get Crafty with Lisa!

I've worked with other direct sales companies over the years, who shall remain nameless, but none of them have rocked my world like Stampin' Up! has.  It is has been such an honor and a privilege to work with a company who cares SO MUCH about their demonstrators.  I truly feel like I'm a part of something special, and that's why I continue to do what I do.

It's been an amazing journey these past 3 years as a demonstrator,  and it's only going to get better!  My wings are lifted, and I'm ready to fly high.  I hope you will take this journey with me.  What do you say?

I'll celebrate my celebrate my 3rd Anniversary with Stampin' Up! on August 1st, so I'll be back next week with some BLOG CANDY as well as some fun new projects.  Until next time, happy crafting!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2015 -- Day #1

Since so many of you tuned in on Monday for the kick off of Stampin' Up!'s Convention, I figured you won't mind a few more pics of how we spent Day 1 at Inspire.Create.Share 2015.

The day started early so most of the Luv 2 Stamp Group team members who attended Convention could get over to the convention center to get our convention bags and sit together.  If you look dead center at the first picture below, you can see a lady with her gray felt messenger bag that we all received.

Inside that lovely bag was a beautiful journal, one of the stamp sets in the NEW! Holiday Catalog, and a list of products Convention attendees could preorder.  More on all of that later...I promise :)

This is what 2,600 demonstrators waiting for Convention to start looks like.

Let the swapping begin!  After all, it's so much fun to see what others come up with!

If you missed my swap cards, you'll find them here -- swap #1swap #2swap #3, and swap #4.

Once inside, we--JoAnne, me, and Sue--wait for all of the fun to start.

Cindee, Carrie, and Katina are all smiles.

This is the Main Stage where all of the presentations, recognition and sharing took place.  It's totally AWESOME in person.

The "Product Playground" is where you go to be inspired.  The walls are filled with projects that presenters shared on the Main Stage, fellow demonstrators' cards, and ALL of the new Holiday Catalog products and projects.  This wall above features some projects shared by the amazing Allison Okamitsu of nice people STAMP!

These beautiful In Color and Christmas projects above were shared by the awesome, amazing Erica Cerwin of Pink Buckaroo Designs.  I had the pleasure of meeting Erica on the last day, and I did my best not to gush all over her, but I couldn't help myself!

This fabulous project was created by one of the Stampin' Up! designers, I'm guessing.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pillow box with the beautiful
3-D poinsettia!

This, my friends, is quite possibly the BEST thing in the Holiday Catalog -- the To You & Yours Shaker Cards Project Kit!  It's at the tip top of nearly every demonstrator's wish list, and we'll get to preorder them on August 4th.  If you're one of my customers and want one, order as soon as the catalog goes live on September 1st.

Well, that's it for today.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of what happens at Convention.  And if it isn't clear, let me just say, the Holiday Catalog will not disappoint!

I'll be back with one final share to show you how things wrapped up, all the swag we received, and some things you can look forward to in the new Holiday Catalog.  Let's just say you're going to want to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator once you see what more I have to share.  If you'd like to join now or learn more, click HERE!  If you have questions, let's talk!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Kicking off Stampin' Up!'s Convention 2015

I'm home from Stampin' Up!'s Convention Inspire.Create.Share 2015, and I had such an awesome time!  So, just where do I begin?

Over 2,600 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the U.S. and Canada descended on the Salt Palace Convention Center in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah, for three days of pampering, sharing, learning, and recognition...to name a few.

Waiting for us inside the Hilton Hotel lobby, we found signs welcoming us to the big event.

Carol presented Cindee with a beautiful basket of flowers Stampin' Up! style.  Didn't she do a fabulous job?!

Convention started on Thursday, July 23rd, but most of my Luv 2 Stamp Group members, including myself, arrived the day before.  That Wednesday evening, our director, the amazing Patty Bennett, and two of her director friends hosted a gala for us at the nearby Hotel Monaco.

Melanie & Becky greeted us as we came in.

The gala gave us all a minute to match names with faces we've long seen on our team Facebook posts.  We also got a chance to swap cards and make three fun projects that the directors designed for us.

Luv 2 Stamp members:  Carol, me, Patty, JoAnne, Cindee & Alyse

This year marked Patty's 20th Anniversary with Stampin' Up!, so our Luv 2 Stamp Group member, Becky (pictured above), arranged for us to surprise Patty with gift cards to her favorite stores.

Becky reading her speech to Patty.

The crowd looking on.

Patty & I with her 20th anniversary present from the Luv 2 Stamp Group.  Boy, was she surprised!

Patty had no idea that we were planning to surprise her at the gala, so she was totally surprised when the room hushed and someone told her to stand at the front.  Becky was a little nervous as she read her speech, but she did an excellent job letting Patty know just how much we all love and appreciate her.

JoAnne (my roommate) and I taking a picture with this oversized Polaroid frame.  Fun!

JoAnne and I called it a night after making our projects and mingling with the crowd, and finally retired to our room with great anticipation of what was to come on Day 1 of Convention.  I'll be sharing more pics tomorrow of opening day, so be sure to stop by!

Until next time, happy crafting!

I'm Always Here for You -- Convention Swap #4

Just when I thought I was finished with my swaps, I realized that I only had 110 completed instead of the 150 I had set out to make.  So instead of making 40 more of one of my first three designs, I decided to make this I'm Always Here for You Card with two of my favorite new stamp sets--hostess set Floral Wings and Friendly Wishes.

My goal for this card was a vintage look, and I believe I accomplished that with the flowers, the stripes and the newspaper print banner.  The stripes and the banner are cut and punched from the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You will find all of the supplies used to create this card below.

Made with Love -- Convention Swap #3

There aren't anymore babies in my future, and all of my friends are done too, but when I saw the Made with Love Stamp Set in the new catalog, I HAD to have it!  Not to mention the coordinating Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper and Baby's First and Tags & Labels Framelits Dies too.  Anyway, these next swap cards are my absolute favorites!

They were the first swaps I made, and they took a little while to put together, but the results made it all the more worth it!  For these cards, I used the Made with Love Stamp Set, Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper and Baby's First Framelits Dies.

I kept the card bases neutral by using either Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake Cardstock and let all of the "pow" come from the designer series paper and complimentary colors of cardstock.

Below are all of the combinations close up.
I only made 20-something of these Made with Love Cards and will be saving these beauties for the Stampin' Up! "rockstars" I hope to bump into at Convention.  Special cards for special new Stampin' Up! friends, I say.

Remember that while I'm away, I'm offering DOUBLE REWARDS!!!

Lovely Thank You -- Convention Swap #2

For my 2nd Convention swap, I kept things simple with a design I borrowed from a card I saw on Pinterest.  Using two of my favorite stamp sets--hostess set A Whole Lot of Lovely and Perpetual Birthday Calendar--and lots of my favorite colors, this card came together quickly.

First, I stamped the watercolor swoosh at the bottom in Cucumber Crush, then I stamped the butterflies in Tip Top Taupe onto a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  Both the watercolor swoosh and butterflies are in the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set.

Next, I stamped "Thank You" in Bermuda Bay onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock from the A Whole Lot of Lovely Stamp Set and punched it out with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.  I added a 1" x 4-1/4" piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock that I banner cut one end using the Triple Banner Punch.

I layered everything onto a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock using SNAIL and Fast Fuse, with the exception of using Stampin' Dimensionals for the circle punched sentiment.  Quick, simple and easy!  You will find all of the supplies used to create this card below.
