Pretty Petals Thank You & A TUTORIAL!

I'm back!  I won't even bother to explain.  Instead, please allow me to share some crafty inspiration with you.

This lovely Pretty Petals Thank You Card was designed by Patty Bennett and was the third and final one we handcrafted at Cindee's way back when :).  It looks complicated, but I assure you it was fast and easy to put together.

Do you see the centers of my flowers?  Guess what those are?!  Those are the White Perfect Accents colored with a black Sharpie marker.  Yeah...just like we colored the Candy Dots on the Wishing You the Very Best Card, we did the same with a black Sharpie on the White Perfect Accents.  Brilliant, right?!

Isn't this card striking?  Here's how to make this card.

THE STEPS ::
  1. Cut a sheet of Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack down to 4" x 5-1/4" and adhere to a Whisper White card base. Set aside.
  2. Die cut a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock using the largest Lots of Labels Framelits, and die cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using the 2nd largest Lots of Labels Framelits.
  3. Stamp "Thank You" from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner of the Whisper White die cut piece.
  4. Stamp the large flower outline in Calypso Coral and fill it with the coordinating fill-in flower stamp in Blushing Bride using the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set.
  5. Stamp the leaf outline in Old Olive and fill it in with the coordinating fill-in leaf stamp in Old Olive also.
  6. Stamp on some splatter in Blushing Bride using the wide splatter stamp in the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.
  7. Color two large White Perfect Accents (on the acetate sheet) with a black Sharpie marker and add to the center of the flowers.
  8. Adhere the Whisper White sentiment die cut piece to the Calypso Coral die cut piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere all of your other pieces with either SNAIL or Fast Fuse.

I love this card!  And I must admit that the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set wasn't on my list of stamp sets to buy, but I had so much fun with it and saw that there are endless crafting possibilities, so I ordered one.  I can't wait to play with the butterfly and bee in this set!
