Happy Haunting for CCC15 & My Last Blog Post

Hi Crafty Friends!  I'm sure you've noticed that it's been a bit quiet around here for the past few weeks.  Well, there is a reason for that, but I'll get to that shortly.  For now, let's talk about this fun Halloween card I created for this week's Creative Challenge Club sketch CCC15!

Here's CCC15.

Here's my card!

It would have been very easy to make a card exactly like the sketch using the Autumn Accents Bigz Dies, but that wouldn't be any fun, I thought.

So, I grabbed my Freaky Friends Stamp Set, Ghoulish Greetings Stamp Set, and Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper and let them be my muse!

I've been quite afraid to share my creations using my Stampin' Blendabilities, but for this challenge, I colored parts of my witch with them.  I finished her off by putting some stars overhead using the Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks.  I even stenciled some stars on the inside as well.  So fun!

Don't you just love this Motley Monsters Suite (pp. 44-45 in the Holiday Catalog)?!  And to think that I never used to buy Halloween stamps and paper en masse, but both last year and this year, Stampin' Up! bowled me over with such cuteness.  I can't wait to play with this suite of products LOTS MORE!

What a great sketch!  I just love those Freaky Friends!  I had so much fun putting these fabulous products to use...finally!

You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store, or click any of the links to go right to that item.

I hope you like this card and play along with us at the Creative Challenge Club!

This is My Last Blog Post

I will wrap up this post by letting you know that this is both my last day on the Creative Challenge Club Design Team and my last day blogging.  I will remain a Stampin' Up! demonstrator (unless an act of Congress or God see it otherwise!), and my online store will remain open for a little while longer, but this is my last post.

I've had a blast blogging and sharing here with you, but there just aren't enough hours in a day.  I will miss it, but life calls.

Some of you may recall that I earned my master's degree in business administration (MBA) last spring.  Well, a wonderful job opportunity has come about, and I am so happy in my new role.  Exhausted but happy.  As hard as I have tried, I'm actually not that good at juggling being 1) a full-time employee, 2) a mom, and 3) a blogger (full-time or even part-time) all at the same time.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for the kind words you have shared with me during this journey!  They have meant so much to me!

I hope the friendships will remain and that you will continue to visit this blog and search my archives for projects that will inspire your own creations.  (You can search by keyword or by category.)  This blog isn't going anywhere, so please continue to use it as a resource.

Just so you know, I will continue making cards for friends and family, but I will also resume my love of scrapbooking and finally dive into Project Life once and for all.  I've got quite a growing collection of stuff.  My fiancĂ© and son can't wait.

Thank you again for EVERYTHING you have given me, and I hope that I have given you something too.  It's been real.

Big hugs and lots of love.  Muah!

Happy crafting!

Kinda Eclectic for CCC14

Hi Crafty Friends!  I'm here with a fun challenge from the Creative Challenge Club.  It's another fun color challenge...CCC14!  When I first saw these colors together, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use all five (which was not required, but I love a good challenge), but somehow I managed.

Here's CCC14.

Here's my card!

When I sat down to craft, I whipped out some sketches, but nothing was speaking to me.  So, I turned to a treasured source of inspiration--Stampin' Success Magazine (Jul/Aug 2014).  I CASE'd (Copy and Share Everything) the design right from the magazine.  I love all of the ideas I find there!

Using the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set (one of my favorites), I whipped out an ink pad in each of the challenge colors and went to work.

I LOVE all of these colors together!  And to think that before this challenge, I wasn't a fan of Cajun Craze...but I am now.  Funny how that works!

I hope you like this card and will play along with us.

You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store, or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Please check out what my fellow Design Team members have created with these fab colors on the Creative Challenge Club website.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!

It's Your Birthday, Dad!

Happy Thursday, Crafty Friends!  Today just so happens to be my dad's 70th birthday!  And just in case he forgot how old he is turning today, I reminded him by putting it right on the front of his card.  Hehe!  He's going to love that!  Not really, but he's a good sport.

He LOVES my handmade cards, especially the ones I make for his birthday.  He never throws any of my cards away and keeps all of them in a special place.  How sweet, right?!

For today's share, this It's Your Birthday Dad Card was inspired by one of my previous designs that I shared with you back in June.  It's a classic design that I knew I would use over and over again.

Everything on this card is current except for the black and white striped card base.  Do you remember it?  I used the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper from the 2014 Occasions Catalog because it packed just the right punch for my design.

You will find some of my other designs using this paper, like on my Sending Good Thoughts...with StripesSay it with Stripes Thank You, and Hooray for Today cards.  They were some of my favorites.

Back to this card...I went all out for dad's big
7-0!  I used the Big News Stamp Set, Star Framelits Dies, and Perfect Print Numbers Bigz Dies.

Did you spy that adorable stamped background I made for my sentiment?
LOVE THAT!

I even made a special envelope for this card with the Envelope Punch Board.  It was a necessity because of the strips that hang off the sides.  For the envelope, I used some designer series paper from a catalog past, but polka dots go so well with stripes.  At least to me they do.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and consider making one of your  own for a loved one.  Putting their age on the card gives it that personal touch and hopefully makes them feel extra special.

Well, that's all for today folks.  You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store, or click any of the links to go right to that item.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!
