SNEAK PEEK: Donut Birthday Wishes

Donuts don't exactly scream birthday, but I thought one was perfect for this Donut Birthday Wishes Card!  With all of the fun designs in the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack, I just HAD to make a punch art donut.

I borrowed my design from a card I pinned weeks ago to my Cards :: All Occasions Pinterest Board.  I fashioned my donut using the Circles Collection Framelits Dies (the 4th largest one), 1-3/4" Circle Punch and 3/4" Circle Punch.

Once I got the donut figured out, I double die cut the white circle, and die cut a large circle in the top center of my card base (the Bermuda Bay patterned piece).

There was little paper wasted because the large circle I die cut from the card base was flipped over and used in the background (the piece the donut is on).  BAM--the BEST part!

My sentiment is from the Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set.  I stamped it in VersaMark Ink and used White Stampin' Emboss Powder to punch up the color on the Watermelon Wonder Cardstock.

I just love this card.  I know I say that about most of my cards (shameless!), but there's something special about this one.  It's so whimsical and fun!

Since only a minimal amount of products are currently available, I will update this post with the Supply List once all of the products become available on June 2nd.

Don't worry, you don't have to wait too much longer to get these fun new products.  Need a catalog?  Click HERE for all of the details on how to get one!

Until next time, happy crafting!

SNEAK PEEK: Layer Cake Birthday Wishes

In honor of my son's birthday this week, today calls for more birthday wishes.  Using the fun, new Build a Birthday Stamp Set and Cherry On Top suite of paper and washi tape, I CASE'd this card from the new 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog (pg 11).

I just love the bright colors and peppy design!

I truly admire what the Stampin' Up! designers come up with for our catalogs.  They have such a fun but hard job.

Just like the designer did, I mixed stamped elements with washi tape.  They play so well together.  I need to remember to do this when I'm crafting too.

Since only a minimal amount of products are currently available, I will update this post with the Supply List once all of the products become available on June 2nd.

SNEAK PEEK: It's Your Day, Julian!

It's hard to believe, but 7 years ago today, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who has changed our lives in so many ways that it's hard to remember what it was like before he was here.  My little Julian is the light of my life, the apple of my eye, and the reason why I thank God each and every day.

His birthday is a big deal to me, and I went all out this year.  Not only did we surprise him with a surprise birthday party filled with friends and family on Saturday, but I am also going to surprise him and his classmates at school today with cake and punch.  He has no idea!  So, it's only fitting that I made him this fun It's Your Day Birthday Card using some new 2015-2016 Annual Catalog products.

I used the new Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack for my background and the die cut star.  I die cut the star using our Stars Framelits Dies...it's PERFECT for this card!

I stamped my sentiment using the Fabulous Four Stamp Set (so glad this stamp set is sticking around!) in Tip Top Taupe, a new 2015-2017 In Color.  (It's a great neutral that I like more than I expected.)  And that green strip of paper under the die cut  sentiment is in Cucumber Crush...my FAVE new In Color!

Because the star hangs over my card, I had to make an envelope for it with the wonderful Envelope Punch Maker.  No problem though...it whips them up in a matter of minutes.

I love this bright and cheery birthday card!  It's the perfect way to kickoff this special birthday!

My funny, happy, always smiling {now} 7 year old!

2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is on its way!

If you haven't heard by now, then let me be the first to tell you that the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is on its way!  A new catalog is always exciting, but this one is SUPER DUPER good!

There's so much good stuff...it was hard to decide what I would preorder.  As demonstrators, we get to purchase from a select list of products one month before the catalog goes live...June 2nd to be exact...and it's always fun to pick and choose what to buy but it's also a bit nerve-wracking!

The new 2015-2017 In Colors are always the biggest surprise, and I'm happy to say that I like them all.  Really!  And the ones that I thought I didn't like so much when I first saw them...well, they have grown on me already.

Here's the new catalog cover.  Don't you just want to jump in and start creating?!

Here's some of the stuff I preordered.  A few stamp sets, all of the In Color stuff, some gorgeous In Color lace trim, and lots more!

Are you one of my lucky customers who is going to receive a new catalog from me?  Read below on how to get one for yourself or for a friend.

All of my customers are also going to get this 2015-2017 In Color bookmark from me with their catalog.  Don't you want one?

I would love to send you a Stampin' Up! Catalog!

If you are one of my regular customers and unable to attend my Retirement Party & NEW! Catalog Kickoff, watch your mailbox the week of June 1st!

If you are a new customer or know a crafty friend you'd like to give the catalog to, email me (lisarhine@gmail.com), and I will be happy to send you a PayPal invoice on May 26, 2015 to cover the $5.75 cost of shipping the catalog.  Or, send me a check or money order for $6.00 to Lisa Rhine, P.O. Until next time, happy crafting!

The Perfect Combination: A Card that's also a Gift Card Holder!

OMG!  This blog post almost didn't happen because my older computer is not playing nice with my new camera.  I won't bore you with the details, but let's just say that I was on the phone with Apple Care TWICE yesterday.  NOT FUN!

Anyway, I did not want to miss sharing this nifty gifty with you--it's a card that's also a gift card holder!  You may recall that I shared another card that's also a gift card holder last January.  I really like that one and plan to make more, but this one is simply divine!  It's the perfect teacher's gift, graduation present, or birthday gift for coffee lovers.

I totally borrowed this idea from one that I saw on Pinterest a few weeks ago by Tabitha of Life, Crafting, and Teaching.  I HAD to make one of my own, and I am delighted to say that it was super easy to make!

To make one, you'll need:
  • A coffee cup sleeve
  • 2 pieces of coordinating patterned paper
  • Buttons
  • Twine
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • Glue Dots 1" Glue Lines (sold at big box craft stores and online retailers)

The only stamping I did was on the inside of the card...which you can't see very well...but I stamped a few hearts from the What's Up? Stamp Set.  You can see one of them peeking out from the right corner above.

THE STEPS ::
  1. Choose two pieces of coordinating patterned paper and cut one to 4" x 5-1/4" and one to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  Layer the smaller piece on top of the larger one and adhere to card base.
  2. Secure the inside bottom of the coffee cup sleeve with 2-3 Mini Glue Dots.  (DO NOT cut the sleeve...keep it as-is.)
  3. Wrap twine around the bottom of the sleeve and secure colorful buttons to the sleeve with Mini Glue Dots.
  4. Secure the decorated coffee cup sleeve with a strong adhesive (such as Glue Dots 1" Glue Lines...you'll need 3-4) to the patterned paper.
  5. Punch an arrow from the What's Up! Punch and die cut "For You" using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.
  6. Adhere the arrow and die cut words in the upper left corner.  Then slip the gift card right into the sleeve.

Wallah!  Instant card and gift in one!

This is by far one of the easiest cards I've ever made...it took just minutes to make!  I.LOVE.IT!!!

I used several products I had left over from this year's Sale-a-Bration (the buttons and twine), but you will find all of the Stampin' Up! products I used to create this card that are available for purchase below.  Click HERE to place your order in my online store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Blended Bloom Thanks

I hope that you had a nice Mother's Day.  I sure did.  We had a great brunch at our favorite seafood restaurant, and then I came home to do my favorite thing.  Any guesses?  If you guessed crafting...BINGO...you are correct!  I'll share those projects with you soon, but I have one that I made a couple of weeks ago.

I am delighted to share this beautiful Blended Bloom Thank You Card with you.  I took my inspiration from a card I saw on Freshly Made Sketches a few weeks ago.  I loved the messy goodness in the layout, so I used a stamp set I hadn't used in a while--Blended Bloom--and one that's always in rotation--Gorgeous Grunge for this creation.  The "thanks" is from the February 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit Layers of Gratitude.

My color palette consists of Crisp Cantaloupe, Pink Pirouette, and Baked Brown Sugar.  This was actually my first time using Pink Pirouette anything!  I like darker shades of pink, so that's why.

I love that little hint of contrast that the green Candy Dots add.  Love Candy Dots!!

Splitting that panel with the stamped flowers and raising it just a bit with some Stampin' Dimensionals is my favorite part of this card.

I just love this card!  It's not my usual style, but it works.

You will find all of the Stampin' Up! products I used to create this card below.  Click HERE to place your order in my online store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.

Until next time, happy crafting!
