What's Hot Wednesdays: Double Die Cutting

Hey Folks!  It's Wednesday, another What's Hot Wednesday, and I can't wait to share the latest craze!  Maybe you've spotted it, maybe you haven't, but I'm calling it Double Die Cutting.

Double Die Cutting is when you take two dies of different shapes and/or sizes, and you create a "window" in the larger die cut shape.  Make sense?!

The idea for this You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray Card came to me so fast, it was like being struck by lightening!  I saw the sentiment in a window, blue skies turning brighter, and wallah…this card came to life!

This card features our gorgeous new Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, Simple Stems Stamp Set, and See Ya Later Stamp Set (coming soon with Sale-A-Bration).  I guess you can say I really like that "You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Gray" stamp in the See Ya Later Stamp Set because I also used it on yesterday's card.

The best way to Double Die Cut is to use our Magnetic Platform.  It will hold your dies in place exactly where you put them, allowing for perfect cuts every time.  I never die cut without it!  (Although my square framelits were made by another company, I bought them years ago, and they do the same job as our Square Framelits Dies.)
