Hydrangea Haven You Make Me Smile

I don't know what it is about flowers, but they make me happy.  And the Hydrangea Hill Suite allows me to create with and share my love of flowers with friends and loved ones effortlessly (MC, p. 18-20).

The Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper in this Suite is beyond pretty--both A & B sides--so it wasn't hard to pick two faves and get started on this Hydrangea Haven You Make Me Smile Card.

I first stamped and die cut my flower using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I then filled in the image with the watercolor leaf stamp using Old Olive ink.  I then layered on the die cut outline of the leaves from Old Olive cardstock and cut the hydrangea from a piece of Designer Series Paper to give it additional color not easily achieved with stamping.

The gingham pieces at the top and bottom of my large scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies were created using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch and Everyday Label Punch.

I also layered on a few more elements--small die cut flowers from the Hydrangea Dies and some of that Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon wrapped around the flower stem.

This card makes me smile, and I hope it does the same for the person who receives it!

Garden Wishes Wishing You All the Best

I don't know about you, but I just LOVE a mega suite of products that coordinate and compliment each other.  Well, that's exactly what the Dandy Garden Suite in the new Mini Catalog offers.

In the Suite, there are two stamp sets, a punch, a set of dies, laser-cut paper, a Memories & More card pack, cards and envelopes, ladybug trinkets, linen trim and some Designer Series Paper.  So much good stuff!

As soon as I laid eyes on all of it, I wanted it ALL (MC, p. 24-27)!  And when I got my hands on the Garden Wishes Bundle (Garden Wishes Stamp Set + Dandy Wishes Dies = 10% savings!), I got right to work on this Garden Wishes Wishing You all the Best Card.

I took inspiration for my card design from a card on page 26 in the new Mini Catalog.  I knew I wanted a lot of stuff on it--die cut images, die cut elements, embossed elements, and some of that gorgeous Designer Series Paper.

Using the Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper as my backdrop, I layered on a piece of Basic White cardstock that included stamped and die cut images.  I also added a bit of color to the die cut leaves using my Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.

I just love those bees!  I couldn't stop at just one, so I added a total of three.

This card makes me so happy, and I can't wait to share it with a sweet friend!  What do you think about it?  Please share your thoughts with me in the Comments below.

Ice Cream Corner Thank You

Who loves ice cream?  Is that even a question?!  I love ice cream, and I also love the Ice Cream Corner Suite Collection!

This Suite Collection includes an adorable stamp set, coordinating punch, ribbon, sprinkles and Designer Series Paper.  I see many Ice Cream Corner cards and projects in my future, and this Ice Cream Corner Thank You Card is one of my favorites.

All of the bright colors in the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper scream "We all scream for ice cream!"  Do you agree?

For this Ice Cream Corner Thank You Card, I used every color in the color palette of this Suite, which also happen to be some of my favorite colors too--Bermuda Bay, Terracotta Tile, Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss.

The ice cream cone with three scoops of ice cream were punched from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper using the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch.  It doesn't get any easier than this, folks!

This card came together in minutes.  Don't you want to make one?!
