Annual Catalog Inspiration Hop: Pansy Petals Suite

On May 1st, Patty Bennett, my upline, asked me and 9 other members of the Luv 2 Stamp Group to share some projects we made using NEW! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog products in our Facebook group via Facebook Live.

I was delighted to have been asked to share some projects with the group and shared some cards I made using the Pansy Petals Suite (AC, p. 28-29)!  And I can't wait to share my creations with you for our 2021-2022 Annual Catalog Inspiration Hop!  Be sure to hop along and see what we all made!

I LOVE flowers, and the Pansy Petals Suite was right at the top of my list of must-haves when we were able to preorder in April!

For Card #1, the Pansy Petals Happiness Card (below), I started by grabbing some Calypso Coral cardstock for my card base, layered on a piece of 3" x 5-1/2" Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper and another 1-1/4" x 5-1/2" Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper B-side piece with polka dots poking out from the bottom.

To give the polka dot piece some zazzle, I die cut the bottom it using one of the Basic Borders Dies, which gave it a snazzy scalloped edge.

I finished this card off by adding one of the large Hippo & Friends Dies behind the flowers.  I first brushed on some Bumblebee ink using a Blending Brush.  Then I layered on two beautiful pansies in Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral that I stamped and die cut using the Pansy Patch Stamp Set and Pansy Dies.

For Card #2, the Pansy Petals Thank You Card (below), it's a fun fold that never gets old!  I actually CASE'd myself for this design.  You will find that card--The World is Better Because of You--here.

For starters, I added a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper to an Evening Evergreen card base in the same size.

The second card base is a 3-1/4" x 11" piece of Soft Succulent cardstock that was scored in half at 5-1/2".  I then layered on a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Succulent gingham from the Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

I added just a bit more dazzle to my sentiment piece by die cutting a piece 3/4" x 3" piece of polka dot Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper using one of the Basic Borders Dies, which gave it a fun rickrack edge.

My pansy, pansy bud, and leaves feature Soft Freesia and Bumblebee cardstock and ink; and Blackberry Bliss, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen cardstock.  I finished this card off with an adorable Bumblebee Trinket and tied on a bow using the 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon in Pale Papaya.

For Card #3, the Pansy Petals Little Things Card (below), I had fun layering a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of
Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper on as my card front.  I then added two more layers of Soft Succulent cardstock and Soft Succulent gingham from the Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, both of which were die cut using the largest and second largest Stitched So Sweetly scalloped edge dies.

My pansies, pansy bud and leaves feature BumblebeePolished Pink and Fresh Freesia cardstock and ink; and Blackberry BlissBumblebeeSoft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen cardstock.  I also tied on some gorgeous 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon in Polished Pink.

For Card #4, the Pansy Petals Double Z-fold Card (below), I borrowed my design inspiration from a card made by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Kurstan del Rosario.  She created the cutest card using this design for her Sweet Ice Cream BINGO Class, so I made one too but with pansies!

This card is easier to make than you might think.
Here's what you need to make one of your own along with the measurements:

Large Z Card base:  Soft Succulent, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Score at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4"
Small Z Card Base:  Fresh Freesia, 4" x 6-1/4"
Score at 2-1/8" x 4-1/4"
Large Card Base Designer Series Papers:  (2) 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" and (1) 4" x 5-1/4"
Small Card Base Designer Series Papers:  (2) 1-7/8" x 3-3/4"
Basic White Cardstock:  1-3/4" x 3-3/4"

I added my pansies, pansy bud and leaves to the front panel, which feature BumblebeeBlackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia cardstock and ink; and Blackberry BlissBumblebeeSoft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, and Basic White cardstock.

The sentiment was stamped using Evening Evergreen ink onto Soft Succulent cardstock, which I then die cut using the Painted Labels Dies.  I also added on one of the adorable Bumblebee Trinkets.
