I am so excited about today's card share! Why? Because this Candles 'n Birthday Wishes Card showcases three of my absolute favorite products in the new catalog--the Build a Birthday Stamp Set, Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack, and Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape!
If you haven't fallen head over heals in love with the NEW! Cherry on Top suite of products, then please allow me to help you do so! As you may already know, I LOVE bright colors, and this suite uses some of my favorite bold and bright colors such as Bermuda Bay (the fave!), Crushed Curry (another fave), Cucumber Crush (my new fave green), Pool Party and Watermelon Wonder.
We made this card in my July Card Class this past Saturday, and my class attendees loved it! I borrowed my design from a card I saw on Pinterest by Jessica Winter, but I made it my own by using pieces of patterned paper I cut from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. They're all 3/4" wide and are either 2-1/4", 2-1/2" or 2-3/4" in height. So fun!
The "hardest" part about putting this card together was aligning the washi tape, and that only took seconds to do. It's hand-torn and wraps around the back of the card front.
But the best part about this card is that if you need a masculine card, you can change the card base to Bermuda Bay to "man it up" a bit. That's exactly what I did for Howard's birthday card (my fiancé)...his birthday is this Friday the 17th. I hope he likes it!
Above are the other two projects we made in class. I'll share them here tomorrow and on Monday, so be sure to tune in! Tomorrow, I'll show you how to make your own stamps using the Butterfly Thinlits Dies. It's a whopper of a share, so don't miss out!
