Today's share is a bit out of the box for me, but I ABSOLUTELY love how it turned out! I challenged myself to use two new products--the new In Color Mint Macaron and English Garden Designer Series Paper.
I took some inspiration from a few cards I saw on Pinterest, and this Thanks Kindly Card is what I came up with. Thank goodness I found the two packages of Tea Lace Doilies that had eluded me for months because this card was begging for one.
For this card, I thought the floral side of one of the English Garden Designer Series Papers was going to be the perfect backdrop for my sentiment. But it wasn't working, so I turned it over to the B-side. Even if it's a bit tone-on-tone with the Mint Macaron card base, it works. I did use a small strip of the floral pattern at the bottom of the card, which I really like as well.
I pulled out my Bird Builder Punch for the leaves and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower for the flowers. I added Candy Dots to the centers to give them a bit more "pop."
Before it was all said and done, this card was feeling a little "flat," so I finished it off by rounding the upper left corner and adding two Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the lower left corner. These finishing touches seemed to really do the trick.
So, what do you think? How do you like this card? Please leave me a comment below.
