Good day, All! Are you ready for some more flowers? It's only Tuesday, and we've got two more days to go, so I hope you haven't tired of them already. For today's card, my inspiration came from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #190. I only realized it was an open challenge after I made the card, but I'll enter it anyway.
When I saw the flowers on the sketch, they reminded me of my Floral Fusion Sizzlits Dies that I haven't used in ages, so I pulled them out and got to work. I just love these adorable 4-leaf flowers that allow you to stack them anyway you like. I also pulled out the Amazing Family Stamp Set, since it too had long been used. Lastly, using a fun color palette including Gumball Green (a TRUE favorite!), So Saffron, and Melon Mambo, it came together quickly. I just love how this card turned out!
I only had a few of the smaller pearls left in the Basic Pearls Jewels pack, so making this card was a great reminder to add them to my shopping list. What are your go-to embellishments? I have lots, but I'd love to hear about yours. Please leave me a comment below.
Before I go, I wanted to share some pictures of my son, Julian. He's five years old and is so full of life.
Swimming lessons wrapped up on Friday, and I didn't think that I'd miss the 4-day a week schedule that lasted a total of 6 weeks. However, when we came straight home on Monday night, it was strange. Before we hit the door, it occurred to me that I AM going to miss watching him splash around trying to coordinate the breathing, "big arms" and kicking, all while trying to stay on top of the water. Well, it was fun while it lasted, but where did summer go?
It's also hard to believe that he will start Kindergarten in three weeks. What happened to my baby? Pretty soon, he'll be heading off to college. Enough of my pity party.
Until next time, have a great day and happy crafting!
Lisa
