Fun with Flowers Week: Happiest of Birthdays to You & TUTORIAL!

In case you don't already know this about me, I LOVE flower dies!  This must be true for a lot of stampers and crafters because Stampin' Up! comes up with a new set of floral dies every year that I, my fellow demonstrators and my customers just adore.  And this is exactly the case for the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  I.LOVE.THEM!

Here's a little crafting math for you:
What do you get when you combine the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies?  One GREAT card!  (At least I think so!)

I just LOVE the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper!  It screams "Let's have some fun with flowers!"

Does this design look familiar?  If you've been following me here for a while, it should.  I CASE'd it (Copy And Share Everything) from one of my previous designs, the Happy Blooming Birthday Card (July 2014) and You Make Me Happy Card (January 2014).

The color combinations in this paper are bright and bold but also soft and pretty.  I just love how this card turned out!

Want to make one of your own?  Then here's what you'll need to do below.

THE STEPS ::
  1. Cut a floral 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card front from a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  Cut a striped 3" x 4" piece of paper from a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  Cut a 1" x 5" strip of Mossy Meadow Cardstock and a polka dot 1" x 4-3/4" strip from a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.
  2. Stamp sentiment "Happiest of Birthdays to You" on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and die cut using the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.  Die cut a piece of cardstock one size larger than sentiment piece from Blushing Bride Cardstock.
  3. Die cut two flowers and a flower center from Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  4. On a 4-1/4" x 11" Watermelon Wonder Cardstock card base, adhere floral card front.  Adhere Mossy Meadow strip, then striped piece, then polka dot piece.
  5. Adhere sentiment piece on top of Blushing Bride die cut piece.  Then adhere to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  6. Layer flowers with adhesive of your choice and adhere near top left of sentiment piece with one Stampin' Dimensional.
  7. Finish off card with three (3) Gold Sequin Trim.
