We'll Weather This Together

As soon as I laid eyes on the Weather Together Bundle in the new Catalog, I put it at the top of my Wish List.  For those stormy days, this We'll Weather This Together Card is perfect to send to friends and loved ones.

With a bit of inspiration from Pinterest, I knew just what to make.  For my card base, I grabbed a fun piece of cardstock from the  Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper.  It's my favorite of all the Designer Series Paper so far.  Which one is your favorite?

For starters, I cut a 1" x 6" strip of Vellum Cardstock and stamped my sentiment in Emerald Envy.  I set it aside to dry while I die cut all the other parts.

Using the Banner Framelits, I then die cut a large banner in Crushed Curry, and stamped and die cut the top of my umbrella.  Once I figured out where I wanted my umbrella, I die cut some rain drops into the banner.

Since it looked a bit odd with the patterned paper design showing through, I added a small piece of Whisper White Cardstock behind the banner piece.  Love the way that turned out!

When it was time to assemble everything, I adhered the banner first.  I then wrapped the 1" x 6" Vellum Cardstock around the card front, giving it a crisp fold with the Bone Folder.  I finished this card off by adhering the umbrella, added a few die cut clouds and a few Bermuda Bay sequins.

I LOVE how my card turned out, and I hope you like it too!  Want to make one of your own?
