There are lots of birthdays on the horizon, so I figured I'd get ahead of the curve and make a few birthday cards now. I always need masculine birthday cards, especially for my son's friends, but I always struggle with them.
I don't want them to be too cutesy, but I don't want them to be "blah" either. That's why I think this Birthday Balloon Adventures Card is the perfect blend of fun birthday wishes with a hint of masculine charm.
Using the Balloon Advenutures Bundle (Balloon Adventures Stamp Set + Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies) and the Birthday Bright Stamp Set, this card came together in minutes.
This card started out all about the adorable Party Animal Designer Series Paper. I just love all of the designs, well not all. The bright colors just speak to me.
After I picked a few of my favorites and layered them onto a card front, the rest took shape pretty quickly.
I die cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock for my sentiment using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits. Then I die cut two balloons using the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies.
They were a little boring by themselves, so I also stamped and punched three more balloons using the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set and Balloon Bouquet Punch. I layered the Pacific Point and Emerald Envy balloon die cuts over the top of the coordinating stamped and punched balloons.
I finished off the sentiment piece by stamping strings for the balloon, adding some Silver Sequin Trim, and stamping and die cutting my "Celebrate" sentiment from the Birthday Bright Stamp Set and Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.
I just love this card and am so excited for the the TONS of cards I will get out of the Balloon Adventures Bundle (bundle and save 10%)!
