We just celebrated Valentine's Day, but I believe it's important to tell those we love "I Love You" often and always. When I was deciding what to create with the Love You Always Suite, the image of this Love You Forever & Always Card popped into my head, and I got right to work.
Have you seen the True Love Designer Series Paper? It's gorgeous! Not only is it gorgeous in black and white, but once you add some color to it, it's really something!
A few weeks ago, my friend and upline Patty Bennett showed myself and several in her downline how to add some color to the flowers in the True Love Designer Series Paper by grabbing an ink pad of our choice and one of our new, fantastic Blending Brushes.
To achieve this look, tap some color onto your Blending Brush. Start in a swirling motion on a piece of Grid Paper to avoid harsh lines and marks, and then onto your Designer Series Paper. With a little swirl of the brush, you're adding color. Voila!
You can also color this paper with Colored Pencils, Stampin' Blends and Blender Pens and an ink pad. As much as I enjoy coloring with my Stampin' Blends, the Blending Brushes give nearly the same effect as coloring without the added time.
The best part about coloring with the Blending Brushes is, is that you don't have to wash them when you're done coloring. The color dries and sets into the brush, so you can continue to color without stopping. I just recommend that you use the same color family on each brush.
The flowers were fussy cut from the paper. Do you enjoy fussy cutting? I don't necessarily, but the results are so worth it!
The colors in this card are some of my favorites--Coastal Cabana (card base), Shaded Spruce (leaves), Magenta Madness (ink pad), black, white and gold (embellishments). And I love how the flowers pop off the paper! I can't wait to share this card and some love with a friend or family member.
