Hello, Butterflies!

Hello, You!  Today's card is a bit outside of the box for me.  I feel like that whenever I play with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.  I just love how it transforms my card designs.  Do you have this set?  If not, you need one too!  Life's no fun if you don't color outside the lines every once in a while...and that applies to crafting too!

Anyway, this card was inspired by Dawn McVey.  I'm a true fan...what can I say?  I wanted to make something simple with a big impact at the same time.  This card accomplishes that for me.  And as much as I love butterflies, I haven't used them much in my card designs, so this was the perfect opportunity.

I love what the In Color Boutique Details Buttons add, and the brushed gold scallop circles that I placed under the buttons really helps them standout.  I've had these buttons for a few months now, and this was the FIRST time I've used them!  Better late than never, right?

This card sure speaks to me.  I hope that you like it too and will "color outside the lines" along with me every now and then.  Let me know what you think about this card below.  {If you hate it, you don't have to share that.  Thanks in advance!}

Until next time, happy crafting!

Lisa

And It's All REALLY Good!

Hello, All!  Happy Monday!  I hope that you had a nice weekend.  Today's share is a bright and cheery card packed with lots of colors and patterns.

Because my Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper had long been neglected, I decided to pull it out and have some fun.  It has some great colors that play well with each other--Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, and Strawberry Slush.

I thought the die cuts, sentiment and buttons were enough, but something was definitely missing.  So I added a layered flower and some green leaves.

This cards is perfect to let someone know that it's all really going to be fine in the end.  I like it and hope that you do too!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!

Lisa

Flashback Friday: You Mean the World 2 Me

Happy Friday, All!  Welcome back for Flashback Friday!  For today's flashback, my goal was to use a stamp set I have only used a few times--Word Play.  It was sadly retired this past Spring, but it will live on in my craft room forever!  Do you have stamp sets like that?

I love the images and sentiments in this set, so that's why I pulled it out today.  Using the "You mean the world 2 me" sentiment, our Epic This and That Designer Series Paper, Hearts Collection Framelits and Deco Labels Collection Framelits were perfect for the card I wanted to create.  The Epic This and That Designer Series Paper is such great paper--soft in places, bold in others.

I got my inspiration from Dawn McVey for this card design.  It makes for a great "man card" but could be given to either a man or a woman.  I hope that you like it and will share your thoughts below.

I'm glad that you stopped by today and would like to wish you an amazing weekend!  Next week, I'll get back to basics with some all occasion cards and maybe some crafts too.  Until next time, happy crafting!
