NEW! Burlap & Blooms Wreath

Hi Crafty Friends!  I'm back today to continue our Countdown to the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration!  My excitement and anticipation are on high!

Some crafty friends--Patty Bennett and Cindee Wilkinson--and I got together earlier this week to play with our new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration products.  I got quite a bit in my pre-order, but I figured I would order the NEW! Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit in January.  However, Patty surprised me with the Wreath Kit that day so we could all make them together.  She is fabulous!

In addition to the Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit, you will need a:
  • Glue gun
  • Bone folder
This wreath was SO FUN to make but let me kindly inform you that it takes a little bit of know-how to create the circle flowers and a bit of time to put it together.  On a scale from 1-5, it's a 4, but it's well worth the time and effort!

As we get a little closer to the Occasions Catalog launch date, I can do a quick tutorial on the circle flowers.  Please let me know if this is something you would like by leaving me a comment below.

I LOVE how my wreath turned out, even if some of my fringed flowers aren't as poofy as I would have liked them to be.

TIP:  My biggest tip on this project is to space your burlap ribbon widely as you wrap it.  If you wrap it tightly, you may have an empty spot in the end.  Even though you can hide the gap with the flowers (like I did), try to make the burlap go all the way around.

As soon as the Christmas decorations come down, my Burlap & Blooms Wreath is going up!  Don't you want one of these for your house or to make as a gift for a friend?  You can start placing your order for the Occasions Catalog products January 3, 2014!

Before I go, I would like to share that we have two new PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SETS.  I can't wait to get my hands on them and will be ordering them soon!

We did have a great time making these, didn't we? A little learning curve on those circle flowers though... LOL :)

Hi Patty! Yes, we really had a great time! Once we figured out the circle flowers, it was all down hill from the best way!
