Merry & Bright Santa's Sleigh Christmas Card

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, wouldn't you say?!  I felt it the instance I made this Merry & Bright Christmas Card!

As soon as I laid eyes on the Santa's Sleigh Stamp Set and Thinlits Dies, dozens of card ideas pop into my head.  However, I couldn't resist borrowing some inspiration from one of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators who blogs at Stamp with Amy K.  When I saw her card, I had to make one myself but with a few changes.

My card features the Woodland Embossing Folder.  This folder was brought back by popular demand from last year's holiday catalog.  How could we live without it?!

My card also features the Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set.  This stamp set coordinates with one of our Project Kits (they start on page 32 of the 2016 Holiday Catalog), but it also works well on its own, and I've grabbed for it every chance I've had.

I also took the opportunity to punch some beautiful stars from Gold Glimmer Paper using the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  Glimmer paper does not get its just-due in my humble opinion, so I use it as often as I can.  Do you love glimmer paper too?

TIP:  To get the gold ribbon to stay in place while you tie it around the reindeer's neck, put a Mini Glue Dot behind the tip of the sleigh where the ribbon comes into contact with it.  If the glue dot sticks out, just fold it onto itself, and it will be hidden away.  No one will ever suspect it was there.

I hope you like this card as much as I do and want to make one of your own.  It screams holiday cheer!
