The stars aligned, and my friends--Patty & Cindee--and I got together for some much-needed girl and crafting time in earlier this month. And since our crafting date fell right after the preorder for the 2017 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration, Patty had her preorder sent overnight, and we were able to play with the new goodies!
If you haven't heard, the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration products are amazing! One of my favorite new suites is the Cool Treats Suite (Occasions Catalog, pp. 32-33). The suite includes stamps, coordinating dies, washi tape, embellishments and gorgeous designer series paper, and you are going to LOVE it!
We took some inspiration from a card we saw on Pinterest and got to work with the Cool Treats Stamp Set and the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Using a variety of ink colors, we stamped the popsicles onto a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock and trimmed off a sliver at the bottom at an angle.
Before I layered my card front onto a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Pool Party Cardstock, I added a 1/2" x 6" piece (trimmed after placement) of Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White striped paper from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.
We all finished off our cards with our sentiment stamped in Watermelon Wonder ink. We then die cut the sentiment using one of the oval Stitched Shapes Framelits and mounted it onto a scallop oval die cut from the Layering Oval Framelits. I finished mine off with Real Red ribbon from the Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack (Occasions Catalog, pg. 15).
You may not be able to see it real well, but there's Wink of Stella on each of the popsicles. My camera didn't do a great job picking it up, but it's there...I promise :)
