I'm back with another sneak peek from the 2017 Occasions Catalog! When Patty, Cindee and I got together earlier this month, we created another beauty featuring two fab new 2017 Occasions Catalog products--the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies and the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.
The Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (Occasions Catalog, pg. 21) has so many great patterns, which made it hard to pick one for this card. And the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (Occasions Catalog, pg. 42) are so versatile. You can either cut the negative image, like we did, or you can cut the negative image first and then use the outline image second to get a flower. These dies will blow you away!
We borrowed inspiration for this card from one in the Occasions Catalog on page 42. Check it out!
Flowers are so easy to create with, so how I wanted this card to turn out came to me in a flash...with a little help from my friends. Cindee die cut the flowers out of a piece of 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" Whisper White cardstock for each of us, and then we all let our creative juices flow.
I placed a piece of 3" x 3-1/2" Sweet Sugarplum cardstock behind my die cut flowers and adhered it in each of the four corners.
I stamped a banner piece of Mint Macaron cardstock with a sentiment from the That's the Tag Stamp Set (Occasions Catalog pg. 23) in Basic Black Archival Ink and layered it over the flowers. I then tied on some Linen Thread into a bow. Before I adhered all of that onto my card front, I popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I LOVE how this card turned out, even if it's a simple design! I hope you like it too and want to make one of your own. Just wait until you see both the Succulent Garden Suite of products (Occasions Catalog, pp. 20-21) and the Special Reason Bundle (Occasions Catalog, pg. 42). They are a match made in flower card making heaven!
You will find all of the Stampin' Up! products used to create my card below; however, you can start ordering the new products on January 4, 2017. Order the available products you need by placing your order in my Online Store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.
Be sure to also check out what Patty and Cindee made! We each did something a little different. Find links to their blogs below:
