Happy Harvest Blessings

When I first saw the Country Lane Suite in the 2018 Holiday Catalog, I wasn't sure if I "needed" it all or not.  I figured I would have fun using the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, but that was about it.

Then, something clicked that I needed the entire Suite when I was placing my Holiday Catalog preorder, and I ordered EVERY. SINGLE. THING on page 43.  And, I'm so happy I did!

So, when it was time for my Let's Get Crafty Stamp Club to meet in September, I designed this Happy Harvest Blessings Card to kick off the Holiday Catalog.  They loved it!

We also played with the Stampin' Blends that day, and they loved getting hands on with them.  We used colors from both the 2018 Holiday Catalog (HC) as well as the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog (AC).

Below are the steps to making your own card like this.

THE STEPS ::

1.     Stamp pitcher and flowers from Country Lane Stamp Set separately using Black Memento Ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock.  Die cut pitcher using second largest circle in the Stitched Shape Framelits (AC, pg. 220)

2.     Color pitcher using Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends (AC, pg. 205)

3.     Color flowers and cotton with combo of Light and Dark Stampin' Blends:

a.     Blackberry Bliss (HC, pg. 43)
b.     Cajun Craze (HC, pg. 43)
c.     Mint Macaron (AC, pg. 205)
d.     Old Olive (AC, pg. 205)
e.     Ivory—base of cotton (AC, pg. 205)

4.     Fussy cut flowers and set aside

5.     Emboss a 4" x 4" piece of Galvanized Metallic Paper with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

6.     Stamp sentiment "Happy Harvest Blessings" onto 1/2" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and banner cut right end

7.     Layer onto 4-1/4" x 11" card base scored and folded in half at 5-1/2" in Mint Macaron and adhere in this order:
a.     4" x 5-1/4" Blackberry Bliss polka dot Country Lane Designer Series Paper
b.     Tin Tile embossed Galvanized Metallic Paper
c.     3/4" x 4" piece of Old Olive cardstock with sentiment overlaid and attached with Galvanized Clip
d.     Braided Linen Thread tied into a bow and adhered onto Galvanized Clip
e.     Stitched circle (with pitcher) with flowers over top, raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Below are my crafty friends--Dianna, Beckie & Traci--showing off this project and the others we made that day.

This Happy Harvest Blessings Card was so much fun to design and make!  There are so many more cards in my future using this Suite!
