Beauty of the Earth Thinking of You

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group's 2021 Blog Hop!  We are excited to share projects with you this year, and we hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects.  Each month, we will have a different theme based on next month's celebrations using Stampin' Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants.  You can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line.  This month’s theme is What's New.  So, what's new?  the Beauty of the Earth Suite is what's new!

As soon as I saw the Beauty of the Earth Suite in the new Annual Catalog on pages 10-11, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and see what I could create!  I love nature, and this Suite speaks to my soul.

I think what I love most in this Suite is the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.  The colors and designs allow for endless possibilities for both backgrounds and trees.  The richness and depth of the colors in the designer series paper really stand out.

For this Beauty of the Earth Thinking of You Card, I grabbed some Merry Merlot cardstock and used it for my card base, and I used it for my card front as well for a tone on tone look.  I embossed the 4" x 5-1/4" piece for my card front using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder to punch it up a bit, and, boy, did it!

I also wanted to use some of the new, amazing gold metallic paper from the Gold & Rose Gold 6" x 6" Metallic Specialty Paper, which is absolutely gorgeous!!  As soon as I saw its brilliance and shine, I grabbed the Ornate Layers Dies and die cut some to layer behind my tree.  However, because my die cut piece was a little on the bright side, I layered on a 2-1/16" x 5" piece of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper over the top of it to dampen it down a bit.

I then made my tree using the Beautiful Trees Dies, some Mossy Meadow cardstock and more Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper for both the tree's branches and trunk (one die) as well as the leaves (another die).

I finished this card off by die cutting two birds from the Beautiful Trees Dies from Cajun Craze cardstock, stamped and die cut my sentiment using Early Espresso ink from Crumb Cake cardstock using the Beautiful Trees Dies, tied on some linen twine from my stash, and added some Gilded Gems.

The Beauty of the Earth Suite is one of the best suites in the new Catalog, and I hope it's on your Shopping List because it's a must-have!  You can make cards and gifts with it for just about every occasion, especially for masculine projects.

I love this card! It's soft and bold in all the right places. What do you think?

Now, if you'd like to make a Beauty of the Earth Thinking of You Card of your own, you will find all of the Stampin' Up! products I used to create it listed below.  Order the products you need by placing your order in my Online Store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.
