What's Hot Wednesdays: Holiday Gift Holders & A TUTORIAL!

Hi Everyone!  It's What's Hot Wednesday!  You are going to be so glad that you stopped by today!  It's only December 3rd, but the gift giving has already started, and this weekend kicks off the holiday parties.

Do you need some clever gift-giving ideas this holiday season?  Well, I've got one for you!  It's a Holiday Gift Holder Mug!

I've seen lots of clever gift holders while out Christmas shopping and on Pinterest.  I must say that my fellow crafters have come up with some clever crafts.

My design was inspired by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Monica Gale.  She is so creative!

Using some Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack, and by die cutting and punching a few embellishments, I made this nifty gift holder.

I plan to make a few for the teacher's assistants at my son's school.  These holders are the perfect fit for a candy bar and a candy cane!

The Steps:

For the handle, take a piece of scrap that is approximately 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" and cut a square out of one side.  Then round the opposite end's corners using the Corner Rounder on the Envelope Punch Board.

I embellished the front of the mug with two snowflakes from the Festive Flurry Bundle--one is stamped and die cut and one was just die cut--and a sentiment from the Tags 4 You Stamp Set.

This project was very easy to make and is quite festive!  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  I'd love to hear from you.

Before you go, sharing is caring, so please share this Holiday Gift Holder  Mug with friends on your Facebook page, Twitter feed, crafty Pinterest boards, or wherever you like to share online.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!
