Stampin' Up!'s Catalog Premiere!

Hi Crafty Friends!  I am so delighted to share with you the latest goings-on at Stampin' Up!  On Monday, April 28th, me and about 7,600 of my fellow demonstrators got to experience Stampin' Up!'s {first ever} Catalog Premiere!

Stampin' Up! did a very smart thing…they hosted the event from Long Beach, CA, and broadcast it live to 39 movie theaters all over the country.  We signed up for the event in March, and waiting for the day to get here was nearly agonizing.  It's all we could talk about for weeks!

And when the day finally arrived, it flew by!  It all started with a trip to Sacramento with three of my favorite crafters--Patty, Joy and Lorena.

When we checked in at the theater with the Stampin' Up! crew, they let us select from a colorful bunch of wrist bands.  You could pick any one you wanted.  So I selected the one with blue polka dots.  The dots were a turquoise color, so that's why I picked them.  Then, we waited in line for the theater to open--theater #12 to be exact.

Once inside, the seats quickly filled, and we waited for the fun to start.  Wouldn't you know it, the first Prize Patrol was for those of us wearing the wristband with blue polka dots.  I jumped out of my seat so fast!  I couldn't believe it!  I had won one of the new stamp sets called "What's Your Type?"  I can't wait to start using it and sharing all of its possibilities with you.

It seemed like forever before they pulled back the curtain and started the show, but once they did, we were mesmerized by all of the new stuff--stamp sets (available in wood, clear, and photopolymer!), In Colors, more Project Life, Framelits and dies, ribbon and paper!  On the big screen, the Stampin' Up! staff shared lots of great projects they had made and many exciting techniques as well.

Once it was over, we were each given a copy of the new Catalog and a new stamp set.  Wahoo!  We quickly visited with friends and then headed to dinner across the parking lot to On the Border.  While we waited for our dinner to be served, we combed over our new Catalogs and discussed what we liked, didn't like so much, and how certain products could be used.  Before we knew it, dinner was being served, and it was time to return home.

What a day!  I am still giddy with excitement from all of the fun we had and all of the NEW! products that are coming our way!  I have never truly been this excited about the Annual Catalog...EVER!  It is chock-o-block with so many new things, and I can't wait to share them with you and see which ones you like!  My Wish List is long, and I haven't even physically started writing it yet!  Haha!

Well, that's all for now, folks!  Thank you for stopping by today and happy crafting!

It was nice to meet you too, Clarice! I actually won the What's Your Type? Stamp Set that allows you to create interesting shapes and the alphabet, but thank you for the congrats nonetheless! The one you are thinking of is the Tap, Tap, Tap Stamp Set. Can't wait to get my hands on that one either :)
