Hi Crafty Friends! I'm here today to share something with you that I had NEVER done until yesterday! I FINALLY used one of my This & That Journals, and I'm so excited to share it with you!
I won this Documented This & That Journal, Documented Designer Stickers and Beach House Designer Washi Tape from my friend and amazing director, Patty Bennett, when I entered a contest on our Luv 2 Stamp Group Facebook Page. How cool, right?!
This Documented This & That Journal had been on my Craft Room table for days…staring at me…waiting for me to play with it. So because I'm so used to making cards, I had to let it marinate for a few days before I could pull it out of its pretty package and do something with it.
Well, it just so happens that over the weekend, my honey and I had a date! On Saturday night, we went to Yoshi's in Oakland, California, to see 90's R&B singers, Jon B. I have always enjoyed his music, but I have never seen him live.
Let me say for the record that Jon B sang non-stop his top hits and even covered a few from other well-known artists, all while playing the piano or getting up to dance and work the crowd for at least an hour and twenty minutes! It was an amazing show, and we throughly impressed!
After cutting out the calendar piece, I added emphasis with arrows that I punched using the What's Up Punch.
Using a few additional elements to "capture it all," I pulled out a few Stampin' Up! punches, rotary stamps, Project Life journaling pens, designer stickers, and washi tape.
Some of the elements I used to jazz up my spread.
Ever since I can remember, I have always saved pieces of memorabilia from vacations, concerts, and outings. So it's only natural that I kept all of the tidbits from our date night. Do you do this too? Well, one of our This & That Journals can help you capture life's adventures.
The best part is that Stampin' Up! has three bundles at 15% off all of our journals: Documented, Epic Day and Retro Fresh. These bundles come with a journal, coordinating designer stickers and washi tape. You will find the bundles on page 29 of the Catalog and everything else This & That on pages 190-191.
Well, that's all for today, and I hope you feel inspired to capture some of your "this and that" too. You will find all of the products I used to create these two pages in my journal below.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Until next time, happy crafting!
