It's May already, and Mother's Day is this Sunday. So when I sat down to figure out what I was going to make at my National Scrapbook Day event, it occurred to me that I didn't have any Mother's Day cards to send to my aunts and friends. Oh no!
After combing through some cards I had pinned onto my Cards :: All Occasions Pinterest board for inspiration, I knew just where to borrow my design for this Just For You Card.
A few months ago, I pinned a beautiful birthday card by one of our Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team members, Teneale Williams of Australia, and knew it was perfect for the many Mother's Day cards I had to make. Besides, her design allowed me to use a lot of retiring products that I haven't had the opportunity to put to work.
The retiring products I used are:
- Stamp set in the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit,
- Perforated tags in the Celebration Basics Kit,
- Champagne Glimmer Paper,
- Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock,
- Pumpkin Pie polka dot paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack,
- and Starburst Framelits Dies
I love the overlapping flowers in the center of my butterfly that I punched from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. They add the perfect pop of color!
I am surely going to miss all of these retiring products, but it just means that I have to make room for more fabulous Stampin' Up! goodies, right?!
