I {Heart} You Cupcake

I hope you had a good weekend.  We had a good one.  On Friday night, my son's friend came over for Julian's first EVER sleepover.  It went swimmingly well!  (Don't ask me why I used "swimmingly," but I love that word.  It's different, I guess.)

Anyway, let's get to a fun project I whipped up the other day.  I was having so much fun with the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and Tree Builder Punch making ice cream cones (I keep thinking that it's called the "Tree of Life Punch"...LOL!), I had to try my hand at a cupcake too!

I took my design inspiration from a card I saw on Pinterest.  It had a circle doily similar to our Tea Lace Paper Doilies, but I could not find either of the two packages I own...ANYWHERE!  So, I grabbed a heart-shaped doily from my craft stash and made it work.  (It was truly the only one I could find.)

Just like I did for the Ice Cream Birthday Wishes Card, I stamped the cupcake base and fussy cut it.  I also stamped the icing on the cupcake and punched it out.  I topped off my cupcake with that adorable cherry on top...also punched with the Tree Builder Punch.

Did you notice the triple layered look of my card base?  I used Pool Party Cardstock, then topped it off with a piece of Cucumber Crush before adding my last layer of Tip Top Taupe.

This card was so fun to make!  It's a great birthday, thank you or everyday kind of card.  And please know that you can make one just like it, even if you don't have a heart-shaped doily.  Our Tea Lace Paper Doilies will be equally as fun and cute.  Now...if only I can find mine.  I tell you, cleaning up is overrated.

You will find all of the Stampin' Up! products I used to create this card below.  Place your order in my Online Store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.

Until next time, happy crafting!
