I have been having so much fun
since my new products arrived! A little too much. Anyway, I am so
excited to share this I'm Here For You Card that I created using the Cherry on
Top Designer Series Paper Stack and fun new Cherry on Top Cotton Paper Assortment.
I took design inspiration from a card I saw on Pinterest last week. As soon
as I saw it, I gathered all of my supplies and got right to work. The
card design is simple...a few layers of cardstock on the card base, some linen
thread double wrapped around the top layer, a flower and a sentiment. But
that flower...that's the piece de resistance!
For the flower, I used the Flower Fair Framelits and Cherry on Top Cotton Paper
Assortment. The cotton paper is smooth like the tissue paper
that you'd stuff into a gift bag when giving a gift, but it's just a tad bit
thicker.
It die cuts like a dream! And when you fold it up and onto itself, you get fluffy layers of fun that make pretty flowers! Below are the steps for making your own cotton paper flowers.
THE STEPS ::
- Using your Stampin' Trimmer, cut a 2"x12" strip of Crushed Curry and 2-3"x12" strips of Watermelon Wonder Cotton Paper Assortment.
- Using the two dies shown below from the Flower Fair Framelits, cut 5 flower centers from the Crushed Curry strip and 8-10 flowers from the Watermelon Wonder strips (you can layer the 2 Watermelon Wonder strips and die cut them at the same time).
- Layer the flower centers onto the flowers (not perfectly but almost) into one stack.
- Put the stack onto your Stampin' Pierce Mat, find the center, and use the Paper-Piercing Tool to make a hole. Secure the flower with a 1/8" Mini Brad.
- Taking one layer at a time, fold the flower center and flower parts up and onto itself. Flatten and fluff to your liking, and you're done!
