----------------------------------
This card is a little off the "beaten path" for me.  I normally like to stay within the lines, if you know what I mean.  But my goal was to use the "world map" side of a piece of I Am Me Designer Series Paper that I was afraid may not get used because I love the B-side so much...probably because it's polka dots!

I got my inspiration for this card from a card I saw on Two Peas in a Bucket years ago.

The Steps:

  1. Like the original design which featured a tag, I cut a tag from our new Chalk Talk Framelits (LOVE, LOVE THEM!) and stamped it.
  2. Then I cut a wide strip of So Saffron Cardstock and made a banner.
  3. I took some I Am Me Designer Series Paper scraps with arrows and a chevron pattern and tore them to make them look like washi tape.
  4. I layered everything, then added more pops of color and texture with two types of ribbon and a button.

TIP:  If you ever want to use coordinating washi tape for a project but what you have on hand doesn't fit the bill, just use solid or patterned scraps or cut strips that are 1/2" to 3/4" wide and tear them on one or both ends.  And then you have faux washi tape!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Lisa
