Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone!  I hope that your week is off to a great start.  For today's share, I have a beautiful Christmas card using some non-traditional Christmas colors.  For this card, I used some strips of Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo Cardstock and accented them with a Smoky Slate snowflake.

This card was fun and oh-so easy to make!  The biggest challenge was figuring out how wide to make the strips.  Once I got the widths correct, I was quite pleased that they turned out just the way I pictured them in my mind's eye.

The Steps:

  1. Stamped my sentiment in Basic Gray Ink onto a strip of White Vellum.
  2. Arranged the strips of Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo Cardstock onto a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White Cardstock and adhered them.
  3. Stamped the second smallest snowflake from the Festive Flurry Stamp Set in Smoky Slate Ink onto Smoky Slate Cardstock and die cut it using the Festive Flurry Framelits Dies.
  4. Wrapped and adhered the stamped vellum strip around the strips base and adhered them to my card.
  5. Embellished the strip with the snowflake and two small Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  6. Finished off the snowflake with a Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I really like how this card turned out, and I hope that you like it too!  Please let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time, happy crafting!

Lisa
