Birthday Balloons for Creative Challenge Club (CCC05)

Hi Crafty Friends!  Yes, it's Monday again, and it's time for another fun Creative Challenge Club sketch!  My card is an uber fun birthday card that includes some quick and easy punch art.  Do you love punch art?  I sure do!

Here's CCC05.

And here's my card!

When I sat down to create it, I knew I was going to use two things:

1.   The Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper.

2.  The Life's Adventure Stamp Set (it's a hostess-exclusive set and can be yours too!  Just ask me how.).

Both had just arrived, so I was dying to play with them.  Well, let's just say that I couldn't get my Blendabilities to color that adorable bike in the stamp set the way I wanted, so I gave up after three tries.  Oh well.  But it's not the Blendies' fault…it's mine.  I just need a bigger image to color.

Then it hit me…a birthday card!  And instantly I knew what to create.  I grabbed the Big News Stamp Set and Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set, and the rest is pretty much crafting history!

The most fun about this card is the adorable punch art balloons.  The balloons were inspired by two amazing crafters and fellow Design Team Members--Jason Loucks and Nicole Tugrul--from previous challenges.  And they're easy to make!

All you need are the circle punch of your choice (I used the 1-1/4" Circle Punch) and the Owl Builder Punch, some twine, wet glue and some Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Steps ::

1.  Using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch, punch as many circles as you want balloons.

2.  Using the Owl Builder Punch, punch a portion of the scrap to include the owl's foot as the base of your balloon (shown below).

3.  You may have to cut a little off the top of the part that was punched, then secure it to the back of your circle with some SNAIL.

4.  Secure the twine to the back of the balloon with two dots (literally!) of Tombow Mono Liquid Glue (where the arrows are pointing in the picture below).

5.  Adhere the balloons and the sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I have a funny story for you about this card.  When I finished it the other night, I went to show it to my fiancé, Howard, like I typically do to see what he thought of it.  And he actually thought it was for him because he said "thank you" when I handed it to him.  LOL!  I had to explain to him that I had a card for him, but this one wasn't it.  So funny!

Well, that's all for today, folks.  You will find all of the products I used to create this card below.  Order what you need by going to my Online Store, or click any of the links below to go right to that item.

Be sure to play along with us over at Creative Challenge Club, and thank you so much for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!

P.S.  If you like this post, please share it with your peeps.

What a fun and happy card! And those balloons are just awesome. That owl punch can do so much. I never though to make balloons and can't wait to give it a try now.
