Sorry to keep you waiting for new projects, but I'm sure you won't mind the wait once you see this beauty! I was able to get some crafting time in last night, and I am delighted with EVERY. SINGLE. CARD. I. CREATED! That never happens! My goal, of course, was to create as many cards as I could using only new products.
Even though I wasn't the first in line to buy the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and Tree Builder Punch, once I saw what my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators were creating with it, I HAD to have them too! And once I saw the retrosketches #163, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with my new favorite stamp set and coordinating punch.
Picking which sketch to follow was the easy part, but it took me a minute to figure out which pieces of the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack I wanted to use for both my background and scoops of ice cream.
I wanted the ice cream cone to stand out, so I added an oval die cut piece of cardstock behind the ice cream that I cut from Whisper White Cardstock using the Oval Collection Framelits. It really makes the ice cream pop, don't you think?
Did you notice that I "fussy cut" the ice cream cone? As you may recall, I NEVER fussy cut anything! But since the ice cream cone and cupcake or basket (depending what you're creating) take only a few seconds to cut out, I'm not totally opposed to it. Easy breezy!
My sentiment is from another fave new stamp set--Build a Birthday--but check out the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and Tree Builder Punch below.
And look at all of the different types of cards you can create below. Endless possibilities!
Besides, who can say "no" to a stamp set with a coordinating punch? Not me! It's like peanut butter and jelly...you can't have one without the other. LOL!
You will find all of the Stampin' Up! products I used to create this card below. Place your order in my Online Store anytime, or click any of the photos below to go right to that item.
Until next time, happy crafting!
