Thanks to NEW products, today's card features my FAVORITE stamp set in the new Catalog--Regarding Dahlias--and some great Designer Series Paper--I Am Me. I used the "B-Sides" of the paper because I LOVE polka dots, and I like the simplicity of checkered patterns.
My card design was inspired by one I saw on Papertrey Ink's Pinterest page. I would love to give the designer credit here, but I don't have her name or a link.
From the detail shot, you can see that I only cut out part of the flower to show off the polka dots. The panel with the flower is also raised using Stampin' Dimensionals. Love that 3-D effect!
The Steps:
- Stamp the flower from Regarding Dahlias in the NEW! Bermuda Bay Ink. After allowing it to dry, cut around part of the flower. (I'm not one of those people who enjoys cutting things out with tiny scissors, so this was more than enough for me.)
- Cut a strip of the polka dots and adhered it to the card base.
- On the checkered piece with the flower, stamp the sentiment in Basic Black Ink just touching the flower and adhered it using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Ink just the center of the flower in Daffodil Delight and punch it out with the 7/8" Scallop Circle.
- Add a little splatter with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker using the now retired Color Spritzer Tool (great product and hated to see it go, but I'll be using mine!).
- Lastly, add three Regals Candy Dots in a navy blue color to the center of the flower.
I LOVE how it turned out, and I hope that you like it too! If you hate it, you don't have to tell me, but if you like it, please leave me a comment below. Below are the products I used (scroll until you see thumbnail images of the products).
Santa stopped by, and it's only June!
Just kidding! LOL! My first order from the new Catalog came today. I could not be more excited! I'll be having lots of fun come this weekend!
That's it for today, folks. Happy crafting!
