Hello and welcome to Part 3 (the finale) of the mini Stamp-A-Rama! Are you ready for some Sale-A-Bration 2014 fun? Well, when Patty, Cindee and I got together the other day, I shared with them this When Skies are Gray Card. It's part punch art, part die cut.
I got my inspiration from Jennifer Timko. The second I saw her card, I fell hard for the sun and those clouds.
The Steps:
- Punch the circle from Tango Tangerine Cardstock for the sun using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch.
- Punch 8 banners for the sun's rays from Crushed Curry Cardstock using our Banner Blast Punch (coming soon with SAB!).
- On the backside of the Tango Tangerine Cardstock circle, adhere the sun's rays with SNAIL and set aside.
- Emboss a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock using our Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (coming soon with SAB!).
- For the sentiment, cover the part of the stamp you don't want to use, which is the sun and rain cloud. Use Scotch tape to cover those images, ink up the stamp like normal and then REMOVE the tape. Stamp the sentiment onto a 1" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock. (The sentiment is from the See Ya Later Stamp Set, which is also coming soon with SAB.)
- Adhere sentiment onto a 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Tango Tangerine Cardstock.
- Adhere all pieces using SNAIL and Stampin' Dimensionals, and finish off the sentiment with some Basic Metal Buttons.
The stamp shown above is not the same one I used for this card, but if you already have the Sale-A-Bration brochure, you know exactly what it looks like. Unfortunately, Stampin' Up! doesn't allow me show you the Sale-A-Bration 2014 products until they go live--which is January 28th to be exact! But the wait isn't much longer.
